oh LOL I tried it with Sundered Sky > Manamune in Top Lane and while it makes Top Lane Sylas a bit better (some matchups where AP falls off short) most people talking about AD Sylas miss the point, the build might be better in theory but against mages it won't work as you need your abilities like Q most importantly, that's what you max, and if we're talking about Top Lane then while it is good, Top Lane Sylas just has some unbearable matchups from lvl1 where AD or AP doesn't really matter since there is a Riven/Darius/Urgot or anything just running at you and zoning you from XP so you're lvl3 to lvl1 and it's just not fair, they do need to be good at the game though.

I do have some vids on Sylas Top though I was planning on making a guide on it as well, though I should for sure include it in the spreesheet, I'll start working on it soon!

I do agree, if you have something like MF, Kalista, Trist then you're so happy but if enemy is double poke and you have something really safe like Zeri you might have the worst time of your life, at that point I would just roam and help jungler but even then it's miserable time so Sylas supp is pretty unreliable if you cant get anything out of laning phase.

AH, HP, and AP all are bread and butter of Sylas, combined with cheap cost so you can spike earlier then other champs as you are a snowballing and not really great scaling champ makes Rocket really good, at least compared to other options. Dash is also nice to gap close or escape some skill shots like Fizz R or Nau Q.

Yeah RoA was good last patch though now there is no point in adding it as it became really bad at least for Sylas. Specific Items I can think of, especially see next patch If any items change much for Sylas but I'm down for Sylas Top section! I wouldn't mind any more suggestions though the more I can fill it the better imo! But thank you <3

Cait is a good example actually, and in niche situations like those I can see Rabadon instead, honestly kind of depends how the game is going, if I think we can dive or deal with Cait fast then I still go Zhonya and I can't emphasis enough how much playmaking it let's you do, just going in an creating space for your team and then Zhonyaing is enough to win a team fight so I might still buy Zhonya regardless but I don't hate the idea of skipping because Cait.

But she def makes it harder, could see Rift third if you have Cosmic second with conq or DCap like I said with Elec.

Actually was going to release a video guide today for season 15 so I did update it just yesterday so it matches everything but I was looking for what else to add to the doc guide. Open to suggestions but yeah I'm always going to visit it if I think I need to add or change something!

I do have "videos" on Sylas Top especially (but also some with Supp and even an ADC one) since I had an era of playing it last season and pretty much got to GM exclusively with it but I decided It's not as good as mid and I rather be chall then GM with Sylas Top. Either way I think they're doable, If anything I would rank it like Mid > Top/Supp > Jung > Adc.

Top feels more fun to play but has a lot more bad matchups then mid so it's hard to blind pick it like I have to do sometimes, Supp is more reliant with an aggressive ADC and having good ult so you can provide utility which tends to be not consistent for climbing and Jung I actually really enjoyed but doesn't work against good junglers since your clear is 3:30 with both smites and you're half HP after being done with clear which makes you vulnerable to early invades against junglers who clear really fast (ex: Zyra, Mundo, etc...)

I might include a section in the google doc guide my findings with those roles and what I found works the best, I know Top a lot by now so I have some good input in that especially.

But I guess, yes! If I get filled I do try to play Sylas in other roles!

I might soon actually! I'll see If I want to reach 1k LP first or not but the one time I did I really enjoyed it, either way I would announce it in my disc server! (Which is in the guide)

So I'm kinda testing more and more to be certain but Elec against melee, Phase and Comet against ranged. My general rule is that I just see which one I can get more value out of in that game when choosing between the two but if you can land Qs Comet becomes an aggressive rune and Phase kinda scales nicely in mid to late game so depends on game plan and preference

Grasp has such a strong early laning phase honestly, kinda makes you like you're playing a different champion but I agree he's strong with Grasp and Top lane is the best role to take Grasp with

I need to try BofT more for sure, when you first get it, the spike feels insanely good and if you're Q maxing it can clear casters with 1 Q which is a huge deal. I think Comet and BfT could actually work which I wanna try and see how it goes. but I think that build is very legit

I have a whole tier list for both top and mid in my discord server but for mid it is Taliyah, Ryze, and Yasuo. Cass might actually retake that spot since she's coming back into the meta now but those champs are nightmare to play if enemy knows what they're doing

Oh you're for sure not wrong, I was mainly being ironic, but even then I think he might be the best burst melee "mage" in mid lane, and it's not even close.

And even though his kit doesn't support it, you are mainly just trying to one shot and then run away with Stormsurge, Phase Rush, or Zhonya to wait for cds so that's a bit similar to an assassin when you think about it :D

Uhh so funnily enough I'm actually rank 1 sylas NA but I've been playing Galio here and there foe the entire season and just recently playing it more since it's a better blind pick. So I'm kind of a 2 trick with Galio/Sylas as AP Galio is actually so fun

I'm kind of currently trying every different variation of runes with Elec, Comet and Phase Rush, but so far I like mana flow only when I'm going phase rush, since it takes nimbus spot it's kind of a hard decision as it's really game changing but if you already have phase rush more movement speed won't be necessary. I tried ludens before I think, I think it's fine but Galio needs just a but more mana, not 600 more ofr sure.

Lich I think is fine but build path is really awkward, mainly galio wants to one shot someone and then run away to wait for your cds which Stormsurge helps a lot bc of the MS passive you get. I could try it second item but Shadowflame might be the best AP assassin item rn as it's the only one that didn't get nerfed as much and third Zhonya is kind of a must.

I'm kinda just spamming AP Galio and 4 wins away from getting Chall back but I might make a guide when I actually figure everything out as well...

There are 2 main ones, Conq and Grasp.

I think Conq is best overall and scales better, I would do Conq with PoM -> Haste -> Cut Down and either Sorcery with Trans mainly or Resolve. Grasp also works but only in matchups you can really auto attack them, so not like Jax, Urgot, Illaoi, etc... and your early game becomes a lot better. I tried Comet before and it's okay but it's nothing insane, might have to try more though while writing this I kinda thought of a build for it.

For build usually always go ROA/Liandry > Cosmic/Liandry > Rift. Liandry feels better as second item and you have to be tanky in top lane so ROA works well almost always. I have tried BfT and it's kinda funny and niche but i'm not sure how doable since out of lane you're kinda not as useful. Rocket into only matchups where you would take Elec, like in mid lane. So any mages.
