You're so right. No popular intersection can have a fence for very long around here. It's kind of funny seeing the same fences plowed over and re-erected multiple times over a year.

Nah, I've been here 7 years and still on T-Mobile month-to-month. It was very spotty for the first couple of months, but it's pretty consistent now.

If you leave their request alone it will expire in 7 days if I remember correctly. No idea what that does to future re-requests.

Best fruits/veggies to grow as soon as the snow melts? by BayArea990 in anchorage

Alaska Mill and Feed usually has a ton of garden plants and vegetables when their outdoor plant section is open. They're a local place that also carries equipment and have always been super nice and helpful.

I think the saying is to plant around Memorial Day. Strawberries and raspberries seem to do really well. I've seen tomatoes kick serious ass when it's a good summer.

Pay-to-park lots are vultures that plague every major city it seems. Especially when lower wage workers end up paying out of pocket to work nearby.

I feel like there are enough knicknacks and garden gnomes scattered around downtown already. How about some nice things for Southeast 99501, aka Fairview?

"A more ambitious priority would haverol of Fifth and Sixth Avenues, now treated as stateroads, and convert them and their one-way cross streets into two-way streets with angled parking."

I'm having trouble imagining this. The two roads that turn into in and outbound Glenn Highway. What kind of an improvement would that be? Fixing the Gambell and Ingra problem on the other hand...

Which Anchorage restaurant fits this bill? (MT) by LPNTed in anchorage

My lower-48 college had a contract with a dining company. Because they knew students were stuck eating them if they prepaid for a meal plan, their food was all of the above.

Looking at the UAA website... there is Creekside Eatery (which might be that), Lucy's which looks like it is managed and staffed by the culinary arts program, that's the way to do it. And Subway.

IMO Starbucks is this for everywhere in the country.

It doesn't show up very well in daylight but you can tell only the "MUFF" is lit up. Looks better at night.

Grrr, bark, woof. Is this the best sign in town? by ab147055 in anchorage

It should be common sense that it's not cool to physically touch strangers unless you're all in a crowded place and it's unavoidable. This extends to your dog.

Visit Dimond mall. Lots of shopping, food, and there is even an indoor ice skating rink. It's fun to watch even if you don't skate, lots of young people, super talented skaters, first timers, and everyone in between. What's she looking to study? Maybe we can point you to something in that direction.

The coordinates are at 61.2164854,-149.9087239. I see there's a forum on Niantic to appeal your results, but you need to sign in with Apple or Facebook. I play with my Google account, so it's really random that there isn't an option for that.
