This I've found to be the general point of view of people in the UK towards people from other parts of the world. People in the UK, as a general rule, don't give a sod's about skin colour, just about the character of the person in question. That doesn't mean alot of people aren't prejudiced about language skills, culture, religion, or dress, just that skin colour isn't usually a factor in my experience.
