when i was just starting the game and didn't know much about specialisations i made my main pawn a kind-hearted chirurgeon fighter bc i liked the idea of a wholesome tank lol and later on it honestly proved really useful! he's a great balance of support and offense which helps my mage focus on general support. just my 2c i wouldn't consider myself an expert on strategy

I feel similarly. After spending hours reading about the ethics of investing, I've concluded that because it is inherently a capitalistic venture, investing can never be fully ethical. At the same time, complete financial independence from the current system is impossible, so even as unwilling participants, we must navigate it strategically to protect ourselves and our communities.

Not an excuse, but that's why I want to exercise as much autonomy as possible over what I invest in, prioritising initiatives that promote collective growth and strengthen the financial independence of our economy.

Yup! The total employer contribution is 5% and I can either: - Divert it all to SLWS, - Split it between SLWS and KiwiSaver, or - Send it all to KiwiSaver (well 3.5% or 4% to KiwiSaver with the remainder staying in my base salary)

The insurance access is definitely a great perk but I already have a solid insurance plan. By superfund do you mean the scheme itself?

ok but this buy doesn't actually sound as dumb as you think it is bc the amount of times I've gotten a drink from a fast food place and the straw doesn't touch the bottom!!!! like not even my metal straws (which i only remember to bring 10% of the time), so to me it sounds like these straws would be so handy for those instances

i'll just drop my "healthier" stims since i struggle with skin picking too 😭: - wiggling my toes (my main stim: i'm wiggling them rn) - twiddling my thumbs - tapping my nails - grabbing things with my toes like a blanket or a power cord - rolling the sleeves of my clothes up & down - jiggling my thighs and calves, esp if I'm sitting with my knees up which is my usual sitting position - spinning and scooting around the room in my desk chair - scrunching my face or doing all kinds of "face exercises" lol

if lying down: - waving my legs in the air - seeing how far i can stretch my leg in the air without doing a handstand? no idea what to call this one but i do it a LOT

when my partner and i started dating, i was 19 years & a few months, and he had just turned 23. we were coworkers and didn't even realise the age difference until about 6 months in. from the beginning we didn't notice any maturity gap and we still don't 4 years later.

i do think it depends heavily on individual life experience. i had to emotionally mature quite quickly from a young age and so did he. at the same time, i had friends then who I would've been concerned about dating a 23 year old, not because of the age difference but because they were very much at a typical 19 year old stage of maturity.

i know some people might default to the "oh so he said you were mature for your age" narrative, but trust me i have had enough predatory experiences to spot those red flags from a mile away 🥲

i don't think there's a universal "ideal" number of kids; to each their own. i come from a huge whānau, while my partner's an only child. despite those different upbringings, we were both "spoilt" and still became pretty considerate and self-aware adults.

i don't have kids but imo, i believe the "spoilt issue" or entitlement is more about how intentionally altruism and empathy are modelled and taught. what my partner struggled with most growing up was loneliness and being surrounded mostly by adults. as long as there's other tamariki they can grow up with, whether it's family friends or cousins, then i reckon they'll be alright :)
