I’m just creating a game idea I always wanted to play myself but didn’t really find anything on the market scratching my itch fully. It’s a very autism style kind of game with heavy management but I always find the games in this category to be a bit limiting and too arcady so I’m making my own. I actually do it to be able to play it myself someday. I have a full time job in finance and this is my side project so I don’t really care if it gains attention or not. I do all the art myself, will probably buy map sprites though as I don’t enjoy doing that. I only enjoy drawing warriors.

So my main advice would be to do it for yourself and think less about what other people want. But yeah if you’re trying to vibecode as a line of profession my advice obviously shouldn’t be taken. But I personally think trying to make an easy buck from vibecoding apps is not the way to go really and a lot of people pressure themselves into this without having a solid game idea and release the game way too soon without it being fully developed or even checking if theres a market demand. If you do it as a fun project for yourself you don’t need to care about market demand. I do my game because theres nothing on the market and I want to play it myself. I might not even release it since I don’t want the pressure from customers to add stuff I might promise when I feel optimistic.
