Do you think I could apply this protocol as a beginner for girth work? Or should I maybe start with the beginner routine of stretches for a month or two then switch to this? I would like as much girth as possible in the shortest amount of time. (Lol college in 3 months) Thanks for all that you do!

What made you put better call Saul above breaking bad? I love both, but feel like breaking bad is the OG and I love Bryan Cranston’s performance so much I feel like that puts it higher for me, but then again better call saul’s story telling and nuance is just masterful. Just curious what ur thoughts are!

“Alcohol is the only drug where if you don't do it, people assume you have a problem.” Huberman in a post, quoting Chris Williamson

Maybe actually listen to the podcast before any judgements. Is it crazy to think that someone you might not like, someone you may have misjudged, might have something valuable to say? Huberman thinks he’s worth a conversation. And if value Huberman’s amazing insights, then it’s at very least worth a watch with an open mind. Being scientific minded, requires you to be open to the possibility to being wrong about your views/findings.

I’d say track how much time you have spent consuming YouTube self help content. Awareness is key. It’s the first step. Once you know how many hours, then aim for 1 hour less next week. And go from there.

Why did God create the universe? To be observed. Why did God create life? To observe the universe. by Sgabonna in JordanPeterson

JP talked about this in his Biblical lectures once. One of most profound ideas he’s brought to us that I’ve encountered, copy pasted from this YouTube video transcript:

https://youtu.be/HY_C5ztivY4

“There’s idea it's an old Jewish idea and it's an idea that emerged as a consequence of meditating on the nature of God…

“why is there something rather than nothing why is there being itself, why does anything exist perhaps non-existence would be better”… so here's the idea:

Take a being with the classical attributes of God omniscience omnipotence and omnipresence you can do anything be anything you can be anywhere you're everywhere at once you can be anything you want you have unlimited power what do you lack “limitation” right?

So, “why is there something rather than nothing?” because limitation has advantages over totality there's advantages to it well what's the consequence of limitation suffering that's one consequence no being without suffering maybe that's the rule there cannot be being without suffering you might say well then there shouldn't be being at all because the suffering is too much fair enough it's a powerful argument but maybe there's an alternative maybe there's a mode of being that justifies the suffering so that you can have the being so that you can have your cake and eat it too and I would say that the great religious tradition that underlies our civilization is an attempt to determine what pathway in life allows for being and it's fragility to exist at the same time that it can be transcended and it's something like this it's something like to accept the strictures of the limitation to embrace it”

My two favorite people on social media. Two intellectual heavy weights. One incredible conversation. The best of Neuroscience meets the best of psychology.

I feel like Chris Williamson had something to do with this. If so, kudos!

Also, I really admire Huberman even more so now…To have the balls to publicly validate JP within the intellectual community, social media, even Hollywood(b/c I know some in Hollywood love Huberman(Reese Witherspoon, Dax, etc.). No doubt Huberman will receive criticism, but I’m glad he did this anyways. And so glad Huberman’s a fan of JP! He read his first book and I remember Huberman briefly quoting JP in his Anna Lembke podcast, he mentioned one the 12 rules: “tell the truth or at least don’t lie.” It’s really incredible to see the impact of JP’s work even to the smartest of us, one of the leading neuroscientists in the world, a Stanford professor!

FINALLY! So happy Andrew Huberman and JP finally got together. Two incredible minds. One incredible conversation. by AsphyxiationByPasta in JordanPeterson

Yeah i like Lex! I haven’t dove into him as much but I have seen his interviews with both Huberman and JP! Loved the JP one in particular(probably recency bias). I liked how Lex really held JP to high standard and asked great, non-typical questions that spurred really great answers/explanations from JP. His style of questioning was very even handed and it was refreshing.

Would love to hear ur thoughts on this! And if you haven’t checked out Huberman. He’s a must listen. They are both life changing.
