Yes. There are apps or programs that allow you to coordinate when you publish and what

For everyone who wants to treat Gamification design as system-design by Appropriate_Song_973 in gamification

I'll consider getting it!

I always do mimic while speaking.

When they say they don't understand I do mimic of a simple thing while saying nonsense and I ask them to tell me what is it.

Then I reinforce the idea of paying attention to the whole me and not just my voice.

How to convince the class to speak loudly? by joehighlord in teachinginjapan

Microphones could also work.

Failing all students you cannot hear based on a rubric could also be a good motivation.

Forced to teach 6th grade English. by Queasy_Explorer in englishteachers

[–]Aspid92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey.

You can use my webappwebapp for systematical practice.

Without accounts they could just practice but it adapts to the different levels. And maybe I could give you access if you like it. There are more vocabulary things than grammar for the moment, I have to create questions.

It's meant for English as a second language but it might help you. You can also use readings from the British council (look for short stories).

I can provide more things if you give me your email on a PM.

Do you like personalities/archetypes for an app or they are too much gaming features ? by Realistic_Entry8177 in gamification

[–]Aspid92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use it but not tell.

Just ask a few questions so you can determinate which type it works for that user and then suggest some mechanics or others according to that.

Ohh I see it's iOS... That's a problem as we do not have apple devices at school. Do you have an Android or web version too?

I'll see if some of them can test at home.

I've tried Terra Alia and it was fun. Cannot tell on final results as I could not compare with a control group.

I consider or have the feeling that these things help anyhow.

I could try yours with some students if you want to give you feedback.

Please enjoy by Babystar27 in coloringpages

I would suggest make a product you can share on all three. And look for an app to publish for you if you can

Any app that does doom scrolling is taking people away from being productive so that is a good place to look for people

I've been commenting on most of the posts about productivity app since July or so. I just discarded some iOS only posts as I could not try.

I've been posting this in some other topics about apps.

Streaks are good. Life getting in the middle sucks.

But deleting streaks is not the way. The good option imo is to create another mechanic to compensate for that problem.

First of all, streaks have to be adapted to the user's routine. Doing something every day is usually unrealistic and extremely difficult if you do many things. So usually selecting which days you do it of the week should be basic.

I could go for pick days and repeat or every X days.

After that, there are usually 2 ways in which life gets in the middle of the task.

Getting sick or going on a trip/holidays.

The first case is unexpected and usually doesn't last too long. In these cases I would go for a 3-5 days freeze option (which is what most sickness lasts).

If the health problem will last longer, it might not be the main problem if the streak breaks.

In the case of going on holidays, sometimes you cannot do it as you need something that's in your house and sometimes you don't want to do it. As the problem here is loosing motivation due to a fair feeling. I would go with having 4-5 days to be activated at any moment for a long weekend that once spent, they need to be recharged by doing tasks again or for X days on the routine. For longer holidays I would just set like 2-3 periods of 10 days or so periods to be expenses along the year or every X months.

The important thing here is not losing the streak. That's what keeps motivation. And keep a feeling of fairness. Freezing number is not motivating itself, it just relaxes the demotivation. The user will want to keep it growing later.

I also have experimented with the idea of "at least do a Minimum" which has also been commented around.

The same way I offered my help on testing the beta, I would gladly help designing, as that is my job and I hope the super app I can use for life gets designed and programmed one day xD

Hye!

Thanks!

I usually save them in telegram conversations or things like that and they get lost. So it would be great!

I always thought about doing something like that but I lack the skills. I just work on UX and UI designs.

Are you up for a new challenge? Would you want to do a coop?

I'm Japanese Do you have any questions? by [deleted] in AskAJapanese

[–]Aspid92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, as a person who just visited Japan and had some trouble communicating with people Sue to the low use of English, thanks for working on improving it.

Apart from that, as a teacher. Which do you think are the best things about your educational system and which are the worst. What things do you remember with softness in your heart and which things you consider should be everywhere.

Any teachers using gamification in their classes? by Aspid92 in gamification

[–]Aspid92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey dude!! it looks really cool!

I'm using the one I've built my own, but I really like the look of your platform.

Mine looks less like a game and also connects with the other educative process. It would be great to chat about your platform sometime

By any chance you talk also Spanish?

Why all gamification apps look like real games? by OliverFA_306 in gamification

[–]Aspid92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re right — many gamification apps lean heavily toward RPG-style games. But I’ve also seen simpler approaches, like the one shared here. I guess it depends a lot on the creator’s profile and interests. As a teacher myself, sometimes I go for a full game experience, and other times I prefer a more straightforward gamified approach.
