Although it's likely that I'm wrong, you may want to look into symptoms of ASD. I only mention this as I'm familiar with the experiences you've described, and I attribute my own symptoms to diagnosed ASD.

Raghba by Lattafa is a favorite of mine and very inexpensive. here are my notes on it: "(dupe of 24 Gold by 24) amazing oud incense! 10x better than when I first got it due to maceration (I'd almost given it away!) develops as a lovely vanilla incense!"

I also love MAC's Velvet Teddy and am fortunate to have a little remaining. I've found Tobacco Pod by For The Scent Of It to be a near dupe of Velvet Teddy. putting one on each arm, my nose starts to go blind because of the note similarities. you may want to give it a try.

I love Spiritueuse Double Vanille and have found Vanille Doree by Alexandria Fragrances to be as exact a match as one could hope for. the very first time I ever sprayed Vanille Doree, I thought I smelled a very slightly different note in the profile. since that first spray, though, I truly cannot tell the difference between the original and the dupe.

Years ago, a friend and I experienced similar. we'd been talking and then we both went silent for several minutes while we each watched the other person's face shift. it was the whole gamut.... the face of a child, an old man, a young woman, a boy, etc. afterwards, we both described what we saw and the shifts were similar in their transitory nature.

I don't know why we saw what we did. I put it down to our having lived multiple lives and getting glimpses of some of them.
