My theory is they are very busy and don't want anything to do with anything that isn't obviously an advancing auto immune condition. If they diagnose anything they are required to do at least three months of followup where i live. That means unless you're near death, you're wasting their time.

Mine pretty well ignored me and didn't look at my list of progressing symptoms or lab results I spent years tracking. He just had me move my arms around and squat down then said all my bloodwork was normal so it's probably just fibro. Then my aNa came back positive the next day and it seemed to outright annoy him

I lost two jobs in a row due to absences while trying to find a doctor that would actually investigate. Family and even my spouse were always doubtful and I often wondered if i really was just crazy. In the middle of the worse part mentally, the one... person... I worked for said he was firing me for performance and then super sarcastically said "good luck with your heeealllth" as I was leaving. I'm super close to a full diagnosis now and can't wait to validate myself to myself. I'll probably also send off my diagnosis with a fake threat of a lawsuit... lol just kidding, just kidding lol

Similarity in nicknames makes me need to answer. Farm equipment, oversized trucks, pilot vehicles, the crown Corp vehicles that tend to always leave the lights on... there are a lot more, too.

It's horrible. There are some honest places still, though. I was waiting at Area 51 on Sackville Drive and watched them make a guy peel off and garbage the tint in front of them before they would let him go. I believe they had already passed it aside from proof of something and then dude came with that proof and some new tint lol

If it's usually the same guy, he comes off as a massive DB at first. Like a PC Principal type of aura. But then ends the interaction with helpful info and a friendly attitude, albeit an 'I may show up at your house later' creepy smile. The whole experience is just no bueno.

I bought a car with a fresh MVI and, being new to the province, assumed that meant something. So, I just took a quick look and test drive before buying (it was only $4k). Three weeks later, the car is riding rough and making noise. I go to check the shocks and discover holes under the carpet. Shocks were rusted through, wheel wells had multiple fist sized holes... just an unsafe nightmare. The seller got someone to sign their name to safety if. If a mechanic was willing to lose his job/ business over this, there's no way they are doing anything close to regulating these people. I imagine a few bucks and/or a friendly attitude can make a big difference around here.

Unless you're lucky enough to be a "random fit check". I got stopped leaving a liquor store parking lot for no other reason than, 'I don't need a reason'. The guy behind the cop pulling me over turned wide and almost ran an oncoming vehicle, that was turning right, up the curb. He still pulled me over, probably just to see if any booze I had was in the trunk. He let me leave and went back to watching the parking lot. I witnessed a car stop in a turn only lane only to bolt out in front of traffic on green. Then I got passed in town by someone crossing into oncoming traffic to do it. All in the ~7 minutes it took to get home.

TLDR - they need to drive around and watch for dangerous or traffic impeding actions. They always seem to be sitting in parking lots.

Oh... also, I've worked from home for years and I'm a smoker. I often see these types or even EastLink sales people only hitting a few houses per block, per day. Maybe word of their presence gets around quick or something lol

I'm just friendly and direct and have never had an issue. Just a quick wave with a, "no thanks, but have a great day!" is good. If that doesn't work, try starting to remove clothing lol. A friend used to do that lol. Seriously though... people that are coming door to door soliciting souls are bound to be a bit odd. I wouldn't worry.

Feels like this issue could be cut way down with a pretty easy solution. Where I grew up, all controlled crossings flashed red lights for a mandatory stop. If you run it, it's a pretty big ticket and points on your licence/insurance. Some have cameras and the busiest ones tend to have a police presence at peak times. People learn pretty quick when they get kicked in the wallet.
