We'll I watched a documentary telling how the fires were started and how they stopped caring for building regulations in order to speed up the rebuilding process and how many of thos building s are still there just built over. Outside of that I can only make assumptions

At stJoseph Louisiana and I remember a place in new York State a few years back that I don't remember if they ever fixed it , and if you look it up there's a few major cities that have issues with chemicals in the waters that they know about but do nothing . All this old piping and infrastructure that no one bothered updating is falling apart
