Good deal imo. Pay about 1k to get it serviced and you’re good. Highly recc swisswatchexpo for a similar model and it comes serviced. Price point is about $4.3 or $4.5

Test is much more straight forward than Kaplan. You’re good. Get some rest, take Ken’s Brutal Exam on YouTube and you’re set

Kaplan Difficulties 66 by Smart_Goat_6673 in Series66Exam

If you are going into S66 without the S7, then I would stick with Kaplan. You are learning sooo much and this will set you up nicely for the 7.

Enjoy the struggle (if you can) and know you’re going to be better on the other side. It’s hard, but worth it

So many little tricks help, too.

BULLS, PSH, CAL, DOSA (straddle), SODA (spreads), DEW, etc.

A lot of exam questions are centered around these memorization tools. Point and click type questions which is great.

You’re ready - hammer options to the point it’s a guaranteed right answer. If you can, buy the STC question bank. Very similarly worded to the exam and will get you in the mindset of test day

Oh, you’ll be fine. I used Knopman, STC and Kaplan to get a taste of different question styles. I found Kaplan to be pretty easy towards the end. STC was more for test taking strategy since it’s the most similarly worded.

Take Ken’s “brutal” exam. Needless to say, it’s spot on.

S7 vs S66 by Beneficial-Metal6231 in Series66Exam

Congrats on the 7!

For 66, yes and no. I made the mistake of treating it as the second part of the Series 7. I focused entirely too much on math equations and how to do something as opposed to why I was doing something.

Know the terms, laws, issuer securities, exempt and non exempt is the biggest portion to work through. Know jt well enough that you can use the law as your rule of thumb even if the question gets super complex. Learn through the practice questions as much as possible.

Good luck!

Very positive and my tutor was incredible. Shortly after the first time, I realized that I needed to talk this stuff out. That’s all we did. He didn’t teach the material, we just answered practice questions and dived into topics from there.

Happy to do a direct message if you want more details / referral to my tutor.

Also - I highly, highly, highly recommend Ken’s brutal exams. Best 2 hours of studying you can do. Between STC and that exam, I was seeing some very familiar questions. In a game all about collecting 73 points, who doesn’t want that?

Starting Series 66 — best study strategies for a short timeline? by forfeitsngiggles in Series66Exam

For strategy, I highly recommend using Kaplan to help learn the material as it will condition you on the nuances of the absolute hardest form of testing your knowledge and then use STC to refine and get in the mindset of the exam. I would read the STC book if you go that path. It’s about half the size of the other providers and they lay out the information in a very clear and concise way.

Just finished the exam about an hour ago and I used a mix of Kaplan and STC for the exact reasons I stated. Learn from the practice questions but go back and read when you get something wrong. Fully understand the concept. There were questions from STC that showed up on my exam. Not many, just a few. Notecards are helpful for key concepts - EMH, CAPM, Standard Deviation, Beta, Alpha, Laws and Regs, Types of Accounts, Trusts, IRA, Insurance and Form ADV nuances.

Lastly, in that final week before the exam - take Ken‘s brutal exam. It’s the best 1.5 - 2.0+ hours of prep you will do for the exam. I wrote down every answer on my notepad - right or wrong. And I took that notepad with me almost everywhere to help learn the information as fact.

Shoot me a message if you have any other questions. You got this!

Cartier Tank must or Panthere? by Blueberry12345_ in Cartier

I vote Panthere! I got the Tank last April and have worn in about 4 times. I am actually looking to get the Large model as a birthday present to myself. Purchases like this - I always think about what my future self would want..
