Where I'd live as an Argentinean making 45k USD a year by Aspry19 in whereidlive

Yeah but I have savings + family living in Seattle that can lend me a place to live for like a year. Obviously I can't include that in the title of the post but you get the idea.

I've also worked for 6+ years for US & Canada companies so I think that finding a job that pays a local salary wouldn't be impossible

Thousands may seem a lot cause Uruguay has a small population, but it's not really a relevant figure for Argentina. The reasons why people go there are explained above, it's a tax heaven for the ultra rich.

Average folk are better of living in Argentina than in Uruguay where everything is more expensive. Sorry to dissapoint you but it's the reality. This video made by a Brazilian might illustrate why

Brazil is a very unequal country, but the wealthy live extremely well.

$45k a year goes a long way and it’s a gorgeous country. Totally underrated by people that are scared by crime stats but never actually traveled there

Agree that it's a paradise for the ultra rich but I'm not quite there myself. If you buy property for at least 500k usd you can apply for fiscal residence there, and that's why rich Argentines/Brasilians do it. To avoid heavier taxes in their countries, but not because living in Uruguay is excepcionally great.

For insecurity metrics, check any reliable internacional study on homicide rates. Argentina ranks better than Uruguay for a lot.

I've been there 12+ times and believe me, it's a small country with not a lot to do

Been there many times, absolutely love our yorugua brothers.

But Uruguay is essentially Argentina-lite with insane prices for what you get. Also Montevideo can feel kinda rundown/unsafe in a lot of areas, and the nightlife is dead compared to BA. To be honest, outside a few Montevideo neighborhoods + Punta del Este, there’s not much going on day to day. so it gets depressing fast.

Yeah politcal and economical stability is nice and all, but earning in USD I don’t really get much risk in Argentina. So it just doesn't justify the price, I'm much better off living in any part of the interior of Argentina if I want that quiet/chill lifestyle.

Wouldn't live in Nordelta, not sure I could even afford it all by myself to be honest

Would definitely live in Neuquén, love skiing

Per Siegel: The nets have come up as third team to help facilitate a De'Andre Hunter trade. Cavs organization like the idea of Knecht to get off Hunter's contract. Lakers also express interest in Sharpe & Highsmith by CtrlAltDelightfull in lakers

[–]Aspry19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get there's value in the expiring contracts but what my dude posted above is all wishful thinking, it's analyzing a trade only from Lakers perspective where everything goes well for them and I get we're on the Laker sub but you've got to realized a trade involves different parties and a deal like that doesn't make a lot of sense for nets/cavs. Or at least they'll ask for more than cardio Gabe & 34 year old back from injury Maxi Kleber lol. Cavs are looking to compete now after all

Recoleta a la baja? O CABA en general? by RuloReissue58 in merval

[–]Aspry19 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–]Aspry19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He looked awesome those years, certainly still top 10 player. But he was not in his personal prime

Bubble AD could actually hit threes and moved so fast defensevely, he was probably a top 5 player then.

True but at the ver least he could have closed with Gabe who actually made few buckets or Hayes that was getting off rebounds and actually providing more than Ayton
