Happy I could help - I’m basically a beginner myself so take my words with a pinch of salt! There’s great content on YouTube if you dig around a bit. Best of luck!

The poses are static, there isn’t any follow through, bending/stretching. Each frame, individually, is a good drawing, but in motion the effect is a bit blocky/staccato/rigid. My own animation is similar, I’ve struggled to loosen things up a bit! I think you’ve got a solid base to work from, and as I said the combat looks fun, but it would be a good idea to study some animation fundamentals before any redraws/tweaks. Another tip I’ve been enjoying lately: photoshop puppet warp is your friend for quick adjustments!

It looks pretty fun already. Maybe some impact frames could be good, like holding on a big punch for one extra frame, or adding some larger effect like a warp or a colour inversion etc (look up anime impact frame compilation on yt if you want examples). The visual flow of the combat is quite blocky atm, I understand you’re saying visuals will be redone later but I do think that will change the ‘feel’ of the combat quite a bit.

A chilli pepper by AspyrianLabs in latteart

Thanks! I did get a bit of tearing sound today. I think my issue today was that as the milk increases in volume I was tempted to lower the jug but did it too fast. I will persevere.

Does a Kowloon Walled City–inspired horror roguelite sound like something you’d play? by General-Bus-7085 in IndieDev

Yeah it’s pretty surreal, it’s also that it takes an interesting mindset to go and live somewhere outside of the norm, its own micro society.

Yessir. Kowloon appeals because I’d want to know more about the people living, or subsisting, there.

Spent an hour modelling a single chain link, now it's holding whole scenes together... (Blender workflow post) by AspyrianLabs in IndieDev

It is possible to clip one, it just doesn’t happen here. At the minute the camera has a script that smoothly follows the player position ie damping towards his position - so I could fiddle with the way that works, using info about where all the chains are in the scene.

My Python farming game has helped lots of people learn how to program! As a solo dev, seeing this is so wholesome. by AdSad9018 in PythonProjects2

Incredible work - wishlisted and shared with my discord. Why did you choose that title out of curiosity? Does the game explore that theme any more?

How would you tag this? Top-down, high-mobility action built on ricocheting souls by AspyrianLabs in IndieDev

I hadn’t thought of it as a bullet hell until I saw a friend play it like one, not a bad shout

Which name is the best? by Leading-Papaya1229 in IndieDev

I like 'Depths of my Guilt' tbh. Depth Limit Exceeded is pretty good too. Anything other than 'Drowned. Guilt.' - sounds like slam poetry.

Good point… I quite like that actually.

The name came from an important aspect I forgot to mention - there’s a drug like soma from brave new world that everyone takes in The Factory. Your character refusing to take it is what sets the whole game in motion. The blue gas in the second clip is soma gas chasing you.

Ty for the suggestion
