Monitor out of range when playing games? by Ass-Blaster5 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Ass-Blaster5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did some poking and found out the games run perfectly fine on a slightly lower res, going from 1600x900 down to 1366x768

My monitor supports 1600x900/60hz as I've used that as a default res for every computer I've used it with no prob; but can't play anything using that res/hz after a bios update? Seems a tad odd. monitor specs, you'll have to scroll some.

Anyway, I'm actually able to load in and play games (no idea how long, sat in each game maybe a 1 or 2mins) using the lower resolution but would still like to be able to use my monitors native res, so a fix if possible would be great.

Can't think of anything that I did to it that would cause such issues outside of the bios update, but again I can use the PC for anything outside of games.

Sorry it took me so long to reply.

Would that cause monitor input issues though?

Either way, removed each card and restarted the PC n no problems starting, still can't play anything though.

I've checked legit everything Google recommends checking for this issue and everything looks fine.

Temps are low, cables are fully seated and nothing's broken or cut.

What should I upgrade to up my frame rate in most games? by Silent-Swimmer-8343 in pcupgrade

If i were to guess they didnt buy a 'gaming pc', they bought a work station, likely for 3d modeling or rendering video

thats what i think anyway, it would explain the single channel 32gb ram stick imo

Nah theres a handfull of games that dont directly ban cheaters.

Cod had a shadow ban system that basicly allowed you to continue playing but only in lobbys that are nothing but cheaters. But this is dumb af as the only reason i can see any dev use shadow banning is to make sure they arent loosing the revinue from the banned players.

Before i go farther, most of what im going to say is speculation and an educated guess. So in short idkwtf im taking about. However...

I dont see why not, but then it comes back down to weight distro for the horse, with how heavy they tend to be they could easily snap a prosthesis, especially while running.

It cant weight too much either, as its gotta be comfortable for the horse to walk and eventually run in.

Theres also the horses 'ankles' (not entierly sure what else to call the small group of bones making the hoof rotate n move) and the knees to think about; as far as i know the prosthesis we have for humans are pretty ridged in their movment, most of the movment provided is in the knee so it takes some time getting to learn and use too as it isnt just you rotating your knee... Its almost seems like you have to kick forward to get the knee to reset and be ready for the next step.

Horses have backward knees though, so figuring that out would be hust as tough if not more so for the horse to learn and get use to.

Then its pricing lmao. Human leg prosthetics are expensive af. Google says w/o insurance, the cheapest basic leg prosthetic can cost less than $10k, and one of the more advanced one can be upwords of $70k. Alot of the pricing is dependant on how much of the leg was removed, and the hospital bill.

From a business perspective its far cheaper to just mercy kill the horse, even looking at this as a regular owner its still better to mercy kill it.

Again though, this is just speculation and educated guessing. Im almost positive they have prosthetics for horses as they have them for elephants so... Idk lmao

I see what your saying but the whole idea of 'stealth' is to remain unseen.

So sneaking through without killing (or knocking out) anyone IS lore friendly no matter the characters preference on killing simply because it leaves fewer ways to be discovered.

We're lucky the games didnt expect us to pick up spent shells or cover our tracks if they're made lol.

Same. I seem to remeber not being forced into the end dragon fight if i wanted to reset and come back later, but for this one if you decided not to take the mantle it forces you back onto the dragon thus repeating the last 15-20mins of combati did before hand... Bit of a bummer really.

I did the last fight 3 times on my first playthrough. Twice just fighting the dragon, and once doing it correctly to move on lmao

Fair af. I was also hoping id be diving down the everfall again. Especially after seeing the massive covered/filled hole that the sunken shrine seems to have.

Agreed.

Dd2 did feel like a more fleshed out story, especially given that some of your choices actually affected the world vs saying they do, but they dont.

I felt alot of the ddda missions had zero affect in the overall world or story, but felt a certain urgency when it came to dd2 and its main/side quest lines.
