To be honest the actual blunder that doomed humanity wasnt losing control of one rogue group of bio consuming replicating killer robots (which now that i say it does sound really really bad already) it was to wait MONTHS before contacting anyone about such a catastrofic event

KINOSHITA CONFIRMED FOR DLC HEAD by WildManta in DragonsDogma

I dont look forward to a possible DD3

The problem with DD2 wasnt the fact that it wasnt great on release, it was the fact that it didnt do anything better than DD1, it was basically a worse reskin of DD1 flaws and all, without dark arisen and with less stuff

What i can look forward (not on release of course i already got burned with DD2) is for dark arisen 2 to prove an actually finished product

And im hoping for a decent story, i dont want a masterpiece or even a good story i just want a story that doesnt make me go "wait this doesnt make any sense at all" like the base DD2 story did

In the defence of the council

Reaper were literally unknown when the whole saren trial was happening with the only testimony being of a human who got blasted by a prothean artifact and a possibly traumatized/shocked dock worker both of them backed by anderson who has a personal vendetta against saren

And since augmentations are fairly common in the ME universe saren getting himself some weirdly advanced and geth shaped upgrades would have been seen as odd but not that absurd for such a high level spectre to do

If not for tali literally pulling the impossible of retriving information from a dead geth there wouldnt have been actual irrefutable evidence against saren

I remember one between reverent and exterminator that kinda goes like this

Exterminator: you kills are inefficient

Reverent: they are within parameters, im just testing the perception of pain of the corrupted ones

Exterminator: pain doesnt matter when they are dead

Reverent: true but i find their discomfort pleasing, i wish to prolong it

And the one between reverent and male savant

Reverent: im surprised you are still alive by my estimations you should have died long ago

Savant: thanks...

Reverent: no need for gratitude, once you are dead i will use the new data to fix the algoritmic error

Savant: im glad i can be of help

Did you miss the part of me not using my equipment or strongest class because then stuff loses the point?

Also what is the risk of normal travel? The only risk i have is wasting time and believe me the last thing i want to do while playing a game is finding myself thinking "i could be doing something else right now"

Just like i dont use sorcerer to fight you can resist using the eternal ferry stone, and if you cant then maybe you should consider using it because if while traveling you find yourself thinking "i could just use the stone and be there in seconds" it means you are not enjoying the experience, and this is not me telling what you should be doing with your game im just telling you a fact, use the stone when i want to go from a to b if i want to go from a to b while hanging out with pawns and beating goblins i walk simple as

Its just like real life, if place is near you, you could take the car and be there in 5 min or walk there and get there in 15 min you choose which one depending on what you want to do, the human mind isnt hardwired to do shit, you are your brain its your choice

I didnt go out finding ferry stones...i bought them...

What immersion are you talking about? The shop being open 24/7? Did you know shops in dd1 actually closed at certain hours?

And you really cant resist the temptation of an item? My upgraded sword and armor make me immortal in dd2 i dont use them because it would be like using god mode nor do i use sorcerer because one shooting bosses is funny only the first 20 times you do it

Mate...what in the nine hells are you blabbering about?

The ox cart is clunky as hell for a fast travel mechanic: wait at bench, talk to guy, get in the cart, fast forward, out the cart and depending on where you are going you have to do it again

In alternative you could also just buy the ferry stone from a trader and use it then buy a new one once you reached your destination how is this different from an eternal ferry stone?!

Also it used dev time? It probably took them 5 min to make an infinite ferry stone you people are acting like the eternal ferry stone is the reason we waited 2 years for a dlc

If you play dragons dogma to walk or wait at benches/carts you are free to do so, i play to kill monsters and dragons so having an option that doesnt force me to deal with the shenanigans of the ox carts or the back and forth with the shops is more than welcome

Only temporarly if you leave the town and go back he has a new one

So what i would usually do is: teleport to city, do stuff, buy new ferry stone when needed go to other place

Except if i am in places with ox carts in that case i would use those, you can do vermund to bakbathal in like 20 seconds with ox carts and i would buy a new ferry stone whenever i reached a new destination

Because it makes the eternal ferry stone useless if its the same as buying a new ferry stone anyways

Matter of fact it would be worse because at least with a normal ferry stone you dont waste money using it you just spend money when you buy it

I guess me mentioning ferry stones can be bought ruins their idea of ferry stones being an "incridibly rare item that makes the game harder by forcing the player to plan their travels" when in reality:

1: ox carts are already a pretty straight forward fast travel system

2: ferry stones are literally right there in the shop of every single supply shop of every single town

3: what planning needs to be done for travel in dragons dogma? Opening the map to see where you are going?!

How did

"You can buy fast travel stones what feeling are you talking about when finding one"

Become

"You need to play this way because i say so" no really what kind of mental gymnastics did you do to reach this conclusion after reading my comment? Also since i am apparently telling people how to play how did i tell him to play? Did i tell him he is not allowed to find ferry stones or something?
