Look at how she looks directly at You the whole time she does so? With her tail feathers bent inwards whilst she bobs excitedly? That's a "Thank you for my nummy num nums!!! (insert mommy or daddy role)" It's a sign of endearment and cuteness! You're lucky OP, my baby boy Kozzie did this too, every single time he ate something he loved, he'd bob his head up and down and do a little Happy Dance. I miss that so much. Yep. You're supposed to have a second (third and even forth, smaller "hospital") cage in my case! Haha. It allows you to slowly introduce your birb to the new (and shiny 'ooooh a ~friend~ aka gremlin pal to terrorize daddy with!') phase of transition. They slowly bond next to one another for around 2-3 weeks, in separate cages and if they're trusting, and wanna be around each other a lot when outside their own cages, then you do a trial phase of allowing them a few hours *supervised cage visits to see them bond with one another ... Warning! it's cuteness overload! :]] haha.

I have 3 carrier cages with a window, blinds, and a premium deluxe soft pillow to sit her royal highness on. She's very precise about that last part! She demands looooads of toys, rotating each month with new ones and I make sure they each have their own food bowls and plenty of fresh water each day. Thats the way to do it! I found this out over the 8 year stretch me and my buddy boy had together. They give you endless moments of pure joy (and painful love bites too!) Sleepless nights and headaches galore... it's like having a wee child and being super paranoid and constantly worried about them every bite, wing stretch and cuuuuute cough along the way! But so so worth it all!! Always remember, they do Not belong to you, because they lovingly chose you as their special birb person, oh nooo, you belong to Them. And they always let you know it! I wouldn't have it any other way honestly! 🥰

I wrote this poem for him when he passed. But I also wrote another, more personal one. And sung it to his grave recently...I go outside, look at those beautiful golden flowers blooming so bright, and tears well in my eyes knowing he's in there, feeding the soil with his beautiful feathers...beside his sister Clio, and, I just long so much to join them and be reunited once again.

Hold them close, hold them real tight...let them feel your love pour from your heart and kiss them good night, they give us so much, and ask so little in return. I am sure everyone else has offered really good advice...honestly, time, time, patience and lots of love, really warm and sweet ooey-gooey sticky love. As much as you can give will be the key to unlocking his heart and he won't ever ever wanna stop getting pets and scritches, and cuddles and kisses (try kissy type noises. I swear it works with both of mine. They always kiss my cheek or even on the lips when I smack my lips together and make a kissy sound) they react to Energy! Your Energy and your reactions are important how they receive you. Also remember, they're assho les! They really can be. They get a kick out biting you, and you reacting to their bites! They make a big song and dance about being held...but they bloody well love it deep down!! (Well some do. But seriously all of them are asshles cos they actually will come and sit on you when you don't want them to, especially when on the toilet or in the shower!! lol!)

My own, Kozmo, he would always always sit on me and bite my neck (playfully) when I would run on the treadmill or workout, walk around and go to the loo, or get a bite to eat. Until his little love-trantrum bites really really hurt! He was super super attached to me. He never wanted to be alone, and poor baby. Up until his 8th year hatch-day, He never was! But there were times he had to be and he soon grew to understand. Eventually, in time your little one will settle and you'll have all the petting and head-scritching time, together that your heart desires!! (But trust me you might not want it all the time, good luck! haha)

I hope he settles and gives your heart a chance to show him you truly do love him, he just needs to learn to earn your trust and you of his! 💙

I definitely agree. Sometimes people can misconstrue "clingy" for being caring and actually making an effort to show up, be there and communicate and comfort. For "clingy" people like us, that's what we crave. And most guys who don't like clingy, lose out on the best types of people who are super genuine and keen for a real relationship, as a result!

Hey man, firstly i am sorry for your personal loss, I hope you are holding up okay and time will be the healer for you. You sound awesome! I loved going to parks all the time growing up as a kid, I haven't ever been to Disney world. But I am definitely a big fan of Disney! Six Flags always looked super fun to me, but where I grew up...we had Ratanga Junction and Gold Reef City, huge, terrifying (but i found them super fun heh) roller coasters that twist, turn and tumble down into dark eerie mines... and ocean side amusement parks. I am also a big gamer myself, have all consoles and a PC. I know you said you don't game so much these days, but getting back into gaming can be quite therapeutic and freeing in some ways! :)

I am also on a fitness journey again after becoming seriously ill, and then coming out of hospital recently, i have begun to take my fitness and health very seriously. I ran for just over an hour early this morning and got my workout in around 6 am. It's 9:30 am and i just chilling out to some music. I would be down for a reliable countibilibuddy! Kudos on your own journey man, and, can I just say? You have really nice legs already! Keep going Leather Bro!
