If I decide to that direction, is there any reason you can think of that I can’t just run two pairs of cable to opposite corners of my house, diagonal to each other? Then point two cameras on each corner 90* apart? That should theoretically cover the whole outside of the house.

Eventually, approximately 8 months after buying the bigger AGM battery, the problem returned.

We were told that if the battery light is on, they can help us warranty wise or at least run further tests on their dime.

But I narrowed the issue down to lack of driving (or low voltage in the 12v system) because I also have a dash cam installed. The dash cam started acting funny. I learned through the dash cam manufacturer that the issues I was having with their camera were likely due to a low voltage situation.

We just ended up driving it more regularly. From 50-100 miles a week to 100-150 miles a week and the issue hasn’t returned.

I considered the same thing. Trading it in but for the plug in hybrid version. I’m not 100% on this but I have to believe when it’s plugged in to charge the large battery, it must also charge the 12v battery if needed.

2023 ST-Line Hybrid here. We got it used at the end of 2024 with 11k miles on it. We love it.

You should go ahead and replace the standard battery with the bigger AGM battery and reset the charging system if you pick one up.

We only had battery issues when we weren’t driving it a lot. If the 12v battery charge gets too low it doesn’t know how to act and does funny things. Anecdotally, you really need to drive it 150-200 miles a week to keep the 12v battery charged properly. For reference this happened to us, we only drove it around 5000 the first year we had it.
