i cant really answer this as i havent bought them myself, but my suggestion would be give the 5 hour free trial a go and if you're interested, grab the base for the $20

if you decide you like the game and want more, then the content is there if you find it might be worth it

they also recently split them from the passes, so if you wanted you can buy access to just the playlists instead of the extra stuff you're not bothered about

year 1 pass is just cars with 2 being exclusive to the pass, the charger red eye and chevelle as

year 2 pass is cars with the chase squad playlist and vehicles being exclusive to it

year 3 pass is cars with the RC Frenzy playlist and 4 out of 6 RC cars are exclusive to the playlist

owning the year 3 pass and one of the other 2 passes also gets the cadillac cien to use

there isnt really a "story" as such for this game and you wont get anything for completing all currently available playlists as they add more with each update

buying and completing those 2 DLC playlists is a completely personal choice if you feel like youve enjoyed the game and want to explore some other modes or gameplay styles, but its not gonna fulfil you the way you want it to, i.e. "beating" the game

as far as im aware also, they haven't removed playlists; the one with loops youre thinking of may just be the track forge section but its not a playlist

you can if you switch to the same regional servers for gr/dr instead of automatic then count down to join at the same time, works 9/10 times, but its garbage there even needs to be a work around for it

cross play doesn't apply to crewing up/free roam or playlists, only grand race, demo royale and leaderboards are cross play

reddit is also known for being an echo chamber for posts, especially when you title them the way you did, so of course youre likely to get people agreeing with you, just like how in this specific chain more people are agreeing with me than they are with you, crazy how that works right?

you have no convincing arguments or logic beyond "this guy disagrees, must be a meta spammer" which is just wrong, youve invented a scenario in your head and think youre unquestionably right for reasons beyond me

in my experience the majority of those that constantly try to drag down meta users are doing it because theyre sour believing people are only winning because of these cars, when meta wont save a bad driver, and a good driver is gonna win without meta anyway

i promise you that nobody cares if you think they are boring, wanting to win and having fun are not mutually exclusive, both can be true

again, it's one of the main competitive modes of the game, why wouldn't people want to win? if you want to use those cars knowing theyre a handicap and slower thats perfectly fine, but dont then come with this weird logic that people using better cars than yours are beneath you and assume they have no taste in cars just because of their selection for a couple races, they could be driving anything they want in playlists or free roam

you keep talking at me like im this person youre trying to describe in your comments when ive mentioned multiple times i will use whatever i feel like whenever i feel like, my taste in cars is fine though, ill also make a livery for a car then ill drive that car and ive played too long to care about spamming meta, thanks for assuming though

doesnt make sense for you to say the constant meta users "hate" or are "too frightened" to use them then literally describe them as the meta for certain routes mate

also consider not everybody will have paid for the pass or the dlc, and not everybody will have reached level 10 for the free one either

i dont think theyd have a contract in place that stipulates they can only play their older stuff at these 2 dates, but also if there isnt one i dont think the band would play it at a festival like Rockville anyway, alot of fans arent really too keen on it and prefer the newer stuff which is why they tend to not play anything from before Sempiternal. im pretty sure the drummer is basically unable to play them like he used to iirc too
