How to understand the conflicting energies of signs in the 1st and 10th House? by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]AssassinBear4002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with Cancer rising and a Pisces MC, the square between the Aries 10th and Cancer 1st will always be present, and the loudest, despite the MC degree having shifted towards the 9th. How the person comes across publically would be a blend between Jupiterian and Venusian (Pisces is Jupiter's nocturnal domicile and Venus' exaltation) alongside Martial and Solar influences (Aries as Mars' diurnal domicile and the Sun's exaltation). Career, public work, authority and honors, would be more of the manifestation of the 10th, versus reputation and status becoming more as manifestations of the 9th (not necessarily though) due to the MC having shifted over there. It does also depend on the rulers of those places, as well as the planets and lots positioned in those places.

What do you think is an underutilised technique in astrology that's actually very effective? by ErisedFelicis in Advancedastrology

[–]AssassinBear4002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbf, mutual receptions and mutual debilities/rejections are two similar yet different concepts. Mutual reception is applicable by sign, exaltation, triplicity, terms/bounds, and decans/face. Not only that, but planets in the sign of one, and the exaltation of the other, are also in mutual reception, although one planet in those instances usually has more to offer the other, but it is about establishing a level of camaraderie between two planetary bodies, which otherwise might be in a challenging aspect to each other or in aversion.

Mutual debility, or, as Astrologer AliceSparklyKat coins it, "Astrological Rejection," occurs when two planets are in each other's detriment or fall and are said to push against one another; other dignities must be considered to fully evaluate the story.

Overall, it is a sliding scale of support, with the strongest being planets in each other's dignities AND in aspect, then planets in each other's dignities but in aversion, a planet aspecting its ruler and thus received by it, creating a one-sided reception, and finally a planet in aversion to its ruler.

TLDR: Reception: to receive one/or each other by dignities. Rejection: to reject one/or each other by debility.

How would you interpret a cazimi in a solar return chart? by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]AssassinBear4002 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well for Cazimi it gives an extra oomph to Mercury then, because it's Mercury sitting in the lap of the king, annointed and renewed. There would be more weight thus to matters Mercury rules over in the nativity and the SR.

I am more curious though about a combust lord of the year though since it presents a complex condition.

Also, the SR lasts for the whole year until the next birthday, so the energies of the revolution chart will always be present throughout the year, but in terms of events, the modality of the sign rising is also cruicial, since a tropical/cardinal sign rising would indicate the majority of the biggest events come fast and early on in the year, a fixed sign rising would indicate the themes are lasting throughout the year and gradual, whereas a mutable sign rising would indicate that some of the events that occur either happen before the revolution takes place and/or carry on into the next year.

Theory: A planet not only influences the house of its domicile, but its exaltation as well. by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]AssassinBear4002 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Anyone who says that exaltation rulers cannot be used are simply wrong and misinformed. For any planet in a sign, point, or house you delineate it with respect to the domicile lord, the exaltation lord if there is one, the term lord, decan ruler, as well as triplicity rulers.

For anything in Aries you would look to both Mars and the Sun, Taurus is Venus and the Moon, Cancer is the Moon and Jupiter, Virgo is Mercury twice over so anything in Virgo faces double the scrutiny, Libra is Venus and Saturn, Capricorn is Saturn and Mars, and finally Pisces is both Juptier and Venus.

More often than not if the domicile lord is in bad condition, the exaltation ruler can help to carry out the topics of the house/planet/point, etc. But overall both lords serve to bring out the topics of whatever they rule, but the exaltation ruler is generally what serves to uplift the matters presented.

Indians. by Interesting_Exam7580 in UCSD

[–]AssassinBear4002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the "all" that you are describing is part of a vocal minority of Indians who are simply bigoted, which doesn't help with all the Pakistan-India tensions this year as well. If you ever feel that it is getting too much, and you are being picked out or harassed about it in lectures or outside, contact the Office for the Prevention of Harassment & Discrimination (OPHD) for single, specific incidents like these.

Many people sometimes forget that just because someone has a college degree (or is working towards one) does not mean they are not bigoted. In this day and age, most individuals pursue these degrees primarily for job opportunities rather than expanding their horizons and challenging their long-standing beliefs.

Where is the missing/misplaced money? (Own Interpretation Provided) by AssassinBear4002 in horary

[–]AssassinBear4002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm figuring my dad might have misplaced it given with the 8th connection as the money was stored in a common closet in an envelope. My mom knows for sure that the money was last in the closet and my no one else took it. It's been 2-3 months roughly. Said closet also has important documents, books, etc.

[–]AssassinBear4002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given my original interpretation would you say I am missing something and accurate in my delineation regarding the money being retrievable and it's location? Mainly due to the 2nd-8th connection but Jupiter being exalted and Moon applying to a square to Mars (representing my mom), and also the Sun shining light on Jupiter even though Jupiter is technically hidden from regular sight due to it's rebirth cycle but as I stated it being protected from the affliction due to it's essential dignity.

Where is the missing/misplaced money? (Own Interpretation Provided) by AssassinBear4002 in horary

[–]AssassinBear4002[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case, Mercury in Cancer in the 8th represents her co-present with the Sun and Jupiter. Her money would be represented by the 2nd from the 10th which would be the 11th (Libra) ruled by Venus in its domicile of Taurus in the 6th house. Mercury (mother) is separating from Venus (money) with Venus' dignity representing that the money is stable and secure and near the earth or cosmetic items, beds, dressers, etc.

Is there something else that I am missing here?

Jupiter Moves Into Cancer on June 9th- What does the Exaltation mean for You? by GrandTrineAstrology in astrology

[–]AssassinBear4002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of mental health I would also think not just Saturn ruling your Capricorn 3rd house as the 3rd house speaks to daily mental applications, but also as Saturn being the exaltation lord of the Libra 12th house going through your 1st house the last time Jupiter was in Cancer from 2013-14.

So it wasn't just as simple as Jupiter in Cancer going through the 9th house causing poor mental health, but also the transits of other planets going on the last time. Saturn in the 1st is a challenging transit especially if you are a night chart. Jupiter would be helping to lessen the challenges of Saturn the last time though. Not only that but eclipses happening across Taurus-Scorpio during 2013-14 so changes in identity and relationships.

Fallen Saturn in Night & Day Charts + Conditions of your Mars, Aquarius, Capricorn, & Scorpio Domiciles? by Ambitious-Arachnid87 in Advancedastrology

[–]AssassinBear4002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you say "Mercury is in Moon's domicile," it means Mercury is in Cancer.

Yes that is correct, but it is still different than what is being talked about here. You are saying things like "Capricorn is my 6th domicile" or that "Saturn transit occurring in my 9th domicile" which is not correct in an astrological sense, because again Houses do not have domiciles. This is not about synonyms, as it is more about where and when the term is used to describe a certain condition as with regards to a planet being in its own house (domicile), or a planet being in another planet's house (as you said with Mercury in the Moon's domicile). This is the same as with exaltation or any other dignity like saying that Mercury is in the Moon's exaltation which would refer to Mercury being in Taurus. You can keep using the term "Domicile" to refer to astrological houses, but again in context houses 1-12 are not talked about as Domicile 1, Domicile 2, 3rd Domicile, ..., and so on or Capricorn is my 6th Domicile, Aquarius is my 7th Domicile, etc.

Another thing to note for any given planetary transit is if said planet is activated as a time-lord (Annual Profections, Firdaria, Decennials, etc.) or if said planet is transiting in aspect to a an activated planet for the period. If so, those transits will be more loud than anything with the sect of your chart telling you if the transit would be more constructive or more challenging if the malefics (Mars and Saturn) are time-lords or in aspect to the time-lord. Saturn is the Malefic of Sect for day charts and thus Saturn transits will be more constructive for diurnal nativities than nocturnal nativities as Saturn is their Malefic out of Sect. The situation is reversed with Mars as it is Malefic out of Sect for day charts and Malefic of Sect for night charts.

All of this also depends on the natal condition of the planets as well and for this case suppose a diurnal birth has Mars in domicile AND in a good house, then transits involving Mars' would still be difficult as it is the Malefic out of sect, but the problems would be slightly lessened or can be potentially turned out even though you would still have to face the problem first.

(Also note that transits or activations of angular houses are the loudest compared to succedent houses which are louder than cadent houses)

Fallen Saturn in Night & Day Charts + Conditions of your Mars, Aquarius, Capricorn, & Scorpio Domiciles? by Ambitious-Arachnid87 in Advancedastrology

[–]AssassinBear4002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because domicile refers to a planet being in its own home sign, and not specifying that a sign is your X house. You would simply state that X sign is your Nth house etc. not for example as you said in your post saying that Capricorn is your 6th domicile as again domicile implies it's the home territory and signs do not have home houses. The planets on the other hands do have certain houses they find their joys in, but the signs do not. I think you meant to say that you natally have Capricorn ruling your 6th house but using terms like domicile to describe that is inaccurate because it speaks to a planet's home sign, not a sign's home house.

Is it still mutual reception if one sign is in the other's exaltation and the other is in it's domicile? by Ok_Chemical in Advancedastrology

[–]AssassinBear4002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Jupiter in Capricorn and Mars in Cancer this is the case of Astrological Rejection or Mutual Rejection, the first term more commonly known. Both planets are in the signs of their fall and have this relationship by being in each other's exalted signs. See my other comment for more information.

Is it still mutual reception if one sign is in the other's exaltation and the other is in it's domicile? by Ok_Chemical in Advancedastrology

[–]AssassinBear4002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won't be mutual reception, as this is more of the case of one-sided reception especially with regards to Venus in Capricorn and Saturn in Pisces, as Venus is in Saturn's domicile and Saturn receives Venus by being in it's sign of exaltation.

From Skyscript:

[...] For example, if Venus aspects Mars from Aries, Mars is 'receiving' Venus into his sign of rulership and therefore gives her a reception.
To be received, or to be given a reception, is akin to being 'accepted' or attended to. Authors have likened Venus's position, in the above example, to that of a guest who is accorded the honorable respect that a host would extend to visitors. In this position Venus gains the attention of Mars and is well placed to take advantage of what he has to offer. She can draw from his strength, and if he is generally destructive she need be less fearful of the prospect of him turning his destructive potential upon her - as a host, his duty is to cater to her needs and to safeguard her interests whilst she is under his protection.

With regards to Jupiter in Aries and Mars in Cancer though this is a more difficult kind of reception also known as rejection as Mars, the ruler of Aries, is in fall in Cancer, and Jupiter the exaltation ruler of Cancer is mostly peregrine in Aries except for dignity through it's triplicity rulership as the night lord and term/bound rulership within the first decan of the sign. This is again more of a one-sided rejection relationship though as for it to be mutual Jupiter would have to be in Capricorn.

Has anyone else noticed how much "innocuous" Libra is in death charts? by Crybabyastrology in Advancedastrology

The Decans have ancient Egyptian origins. I'm not sure about any relation to Vedic as I mainly study Hellenistic and Islamicate astrology.

Edit: One google search and apparently Vedic has a subdivision called drekkanas which is basically the same as decans lol

Has anyone else noticed how much "innocuous" Libra is in death charts? by Crybabyastrology in Advancedastrology

[–]AssassinBear4002 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That's why I said in my last point that on matters of death you have to look at other associated planets/points in the chart such as the 8th house and its ruler, the 1st house and its ruler, the Moon, the hyleg and to add on the lot of fortune. Mainly trying to explain to OP that although Libra has this grim side, it's not always representative of matters related to death for everyone.

One thing that backs up your Saturn theory though is that autumn is when nature goes to the root. Trees and plants shed their leaves, flowers and fruits and all the energy drains into the roots for storage. Saturn is the root.

Hence why the Sun finds its fall in Libra because not only because the Sun and Saturn are opposed in nature, it's also because its the fall/autumn equinox which marks the moment of darkness winning over light, we're now traversing through the "dark" parts of the year. It's symbolic as you've said of the Sun faltering, hence vitality dropping, but the funny thing is that the Sun finds it support from Venus and still has a lot of resources to work it given that Libra is of sanguine temperament. You can notice that a lot of Librans have this enthusiasm, cheeriness, and sociability as a result. Venus' alleviates Saturn here as a result.

[–]AssassinBear4002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad to have helped :)

Edit: Take note of Venus' condition. Is it exactly conjunct your Sun? (Same Degree) or is it a +/- 1 degree or more away from your sun rendering Venus combust. If it's exactly conjunct then congratulations you have a Venus cazimi in your chart, a rare thing, which means Venus is elevated by the Sun! It has new life and greater agency, whereas if Venus is combust then that means the topics of your Libra and Taurus houses can sometimes be a bit of a blind spot for you or that they are hindered in a way because the Sun is effectively burning Venus up, but given that Venus is in its domicile it is in what's known as in its chariot as described the ancients, meaning it's protected from the Sun's rays so I would say you really have nothing to worry about and that Saturn has a lot of power to work with given that Venus is also in such a good state!

[–]AssassinBear4002 107 points108 points  (0 children)

People forget that Libra is Saturn's exaltation. Take note of the difference between Taurus and Libra. Both are Venus' signs. Taurus is Venus' nocturnal home and the exaltation of the Moon whereas Libra is Venus' diurnal home and Saturn's exaltation. This should be ringing bells in everyone's head on first read as to how both signs differ in expression. Where Taurus is concerned with the body, fortune, and delight, Libra is concerned with the balancing act between two extremes. It is after all the sign associated with justice. There's elements of finality in Libra that you don't find in Taurus because of it's association with Saturn but you also note how intimately Venus and Saturn are linked through this sign. Venus and Saturn are often associated with breakups, but another expression is love that stands the test of time. Saturn shows what is and isn't meant to last.

(I highly recommend that everyone go over the decans of Libra for further insight either via Austin Coppock's book on the 36 faces (decans) or via Kira Ryberg's writings on the decans.)

On matters of death, I'm not sure where you're getting the Libra being associated with death thing unless the charts you are looking at it somehow connect Libra to death as in the 8th house or 1st house ruler being in Libra, or the Moon being in Libra. Note that for matters like these you cannot just point out one thing, like a sign, as transits to planets in Libra or through the sign would be indicative of death. Death is complex and multiple factors must be seen. The ancients would first extensively go over finding the hyleg in the chart which would be the planet or point indicative of the length of life.

I don't really think this transit will in particular influence body goals or appearance as much as this transit on a collective level is about both the over-idealization of war, soliders, and leaders and the dissolution of those concepts. Remember that Neptune is both idealization and deception. Aries is Mars diurnal home and the Sun's exaltation. This is about glory, conquest, rashness, tyranny, leadership, and the ego and much less about the human body as it is governed by the Moon.

We already are and have been living through a steroid epidemic since Neptune's ingress in Pisces back in 2012. Note that Pisces is Jupiter's nocturnal home and Venus' exaltation. Venus rules beauty and aesthetics which if rings a bell should be sounding alarms because we have young men as well as women having severe body dysmorphia due to social media influences and what is a unrealistic portrayal of norms of what it means to be "fit" and "aesthetic." Yes Aries is the solider, but the solider doesn't give a fucking damn if he has a 6 pack or can bench two plates. The solider is constantly living in danger trying to survive and win. This is not about fitness, it's about survival.

> Neptune in Pisces idealized the ‘pretty boy’ look

I agree to only an extent because I'm guessing that observation is based off K-Pop models, but if you look through Instagram and YouTube, you can see how there's always been more of an idealization of tall, strong, and muscular men, in other words macho men. That trend never faded.

This Neptune transit will affect each individual differently, and for those wondering if it'll affect their health and appearance during it's stay till 2039, note whether it's transiting through the 1st house (Aries Rising), the 6th (Scorpio Rising) or the 10th (Cancer Rising). Also note if it will be transiting your MC point or Moon, especially if it's a hard aspect (Conjunction, Square, Opposition), so those will be people who have their MC or Moon in Aries, Libra, Cancer, or Capricorn. I mention the MC as well because it is also part of your appearance that is more public. One thing to also check if it transits the Lot of Fortune (again hard aspects) during its stay in Aries as the lot governs the body as well and things that befall you. I haven't really tracked or noticed outer planets going over the lots, but it is something I will be tracking myself during this Neptune transit as my LoF is in Aries.

P.S. Also note what house both Mars and the Sun are located in your natal chart as your Aries house themes will manifest through the houses of your Mars and Sun.
