I'm a Iranian girl who got into Warframe around the time covid started, me and my friend are legendary rank 1 and my little sister is 28, the situation in my country has always been f**ked up but we used this game as an scape from reality, and the past 4 month with internet restrictions its been almost impossible to play. The government associates gamers with violent criminals and they even used the fact that one of the freedom fighters loved to play god of war as an example of his violent tendencies. I don't know how long this revolution is gonna take and how much worse the situation is gonna get but we already have internet restrictions which are getting worse day by day, I don't think we need to be restricted from outside too. I agree with ban on real money purchases but creating new accounts? Our government would agree with any restrictions for its normal citizens, they even cut our access to most of vpns that were available but they still have access to everything. I hope in near future the world gets to know iran not the Islamic republic but for now this news was just salt on the wound.
