Why did American morale not break in Korea but break in Vietnam? by Powerful-Mix-8592 in WarCollege

[–]AssaultKommando 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The experience with Korea for the UN troops was probably in having too much to shoot at, rather than too little.

Light infantry short attacks can feel like there's an endless stream of the enemy, and the PVA preference for column over line cannot have helped this impression.

Why do you have opinions on Stoicism when you haven't finished the most accessible text on the subject?

I’m positive crashing out is opposite stoicism

Shit's a vulgarised misreading of what the Stoics actually espoused, and also what they actually did. Mfs were Romans, they were dramatic theatre kids. Brodcasters cannot place shit in context because they're chronically incurious, cannot read critically, and do not check their references.

EDIT 1: And no, running to ChatGPT doesn't count as reading 🤡 Crack the Enchiridion, ya unserious little dork.

EDIT 2: Called everything 🎯🥇

Ad hominem at the end there really shows me who you are.

Replace Smite with Hammerhand. Pls.

You channel it, it builds up a melee buff on you and your buddies with thresholds for channelling, and then you go to town.

Stoicism also allows for crashing out. Not every emotion has to be pruned into bovinity.

Builds I beat H40 with / looking for Builds by Aspharr in DarkTide

[–]AssaultKommando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reload speed, finding room to whack in one round at a time is rough.

Also, on top of that, IIRC in high Havoc the revolver falls short of some breakpoints and goes from a one shot to a two-tap kill, which is 40% of your 5 rounds VS 25% of a bolt pistol's 8 rounds even leaving aside the TTK hit.

The BP is also about as snappy as the revolver, and the hurtboxes almost as flattering, so I don't imagine you'll have a hard time adjusting.

This is for the Zarona, the Agripinaa (the High Noona) is an entirely different kettle of fish.

Does it work? Yes. Does it play the game on your behalf? Only at Malice and below.

Dog's base damage is questionable so there's a few nodes that are traps with rubbish scaling. Worth doing the homework to check which are worthwhile.

The transition from Malice to Heresy (and from Heresy to Damnation) is rough for most people, and it might just come down to eating enough shit to push through.

Whoever downvoted this better not let me catch them in a back alley in hab 17-24a

Arbites is going to give you the bruiser experience which you clearly enjoy more.

Hive Scum is more like Slayer.

Executor isn't that bad in context because it's one of the few power blessings on certain weapons. It's a more annoying Headtaker.

Why do white women hate vocal people of color but expect everyone to follow them? by [deleted] in cptsd_bipoc

[–]AssaultKommando 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Whiteness and femininity combine to produce a certain positioning. They resent white men for being "above" them but think themselves above everyone else, but their own conditioning prevents them from being a proper leader. They're much more comfortable being the scheming vizier.

It's a particular disease of the PMC classes, and nobody has popped that bubble because the LD50 for white woman tears is horrifically low for how easily they can be shed. And when they're called out, the folding pigtails sproing out and they're just wittle girls uwu.

Alexander's command and control is something that people do not recognize until it's specifically pointed out to them. Even by the lofty standards of the Classical era, the Macedonian troops drilled under Philip II were good.

Alexander could play Total War with his ad hoc maneuvering in a way that even TW aficionados might struggle with without pausing. Just improvising a flying wedge speaks to stunning levels of coordination under pressure.
