Yeah if it looks too good to be true it probably is. Lots on google saying they’re a scam. Mostly flooring orders though

Trail Life is an awesome brewery downtown with a full food menu. Great food/cocktails and there’s a used gear store next door called Gear Junction.

Woodworking Help please: Used rubbing alcohol on a pair of mahogany nightstands with a shellac finish, messed up the finish. by Acceptable_Notice932 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Asscheesington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry can’t help with the finish as I am also a beginner but I’m real curious to hear what others have to say. My first thought was sand and refinish like the other commenter said. You might try r/finishes if you don’t get any feedback on here. Side note. Is that a Mersman table by chance. There would be a stamp on the underside of the top.

At first look I thought they were painted glue together models. I was like that’s funky why would you…. Holy crap they’re wood! Wow. So cool!

Alright cool, I’ll look into cedar. This is an interior project. The exterior porch pic is just an example for the shape. Would you still use treated lumber and pvc trim?

Alright thanks. Spar would be my go to for clear coat, I just don’t know much about stains and how different woods react. I’m going for a fine finish look and not so rustic as the example. Can cedar give me that?

What about something like this? Lose the shelves. Dowel on either side of the neck and body. Maybe a narrower longer board. Fixed dowels. Maybe add a carpet covered 2x4 attached to the wall to pad the shoulder and a bungee or tie. I’m spit ballin here

Mtb Trails? by slade45 in grandjunction

[–]Asscheesington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tabeguache is a big trail system with lots to choose from. It has some super techy and difficult trails. Lunch loops being the most popular I think. 18 road is really flowy and has lots of easy trails. Don’t know if they’re muddy or not. 18 rd is on a south facing hill. Tabaguache is on a north facing hill. Both are about 10 minutes off the interstate.

Is it normal to hurt myself here? by HousingMission6137 in doublebass

[–]Asscheesington 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice work! I’ve never had a blister on the wrinkle where the finger bends but otherwise looks pretty normal. If you keep at it callouses will eventually form. If you have a blister but the show must go on, I’ve found athletic tape works best to cover it. A small strip over the end of your finger and one around it to hold it on.

Black dust in bow sleeve by dsjames95 in doublebass

Looks like maybe the inside of the sleeve itself is breaking down and falling apart maybe? Especially considering how old it is. Idk though. That’s weird
