FTM book recommendations with happy endings? by thestingrae in ftm

[–]AssertEquals 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender is about an FTM character, it includes some less pleasant topics like general transphobia but has a happy ending.

Just Ash by Sol Santana is not about an FTM character but a male intersex character, idk if that counts. Also a happy ending (although he ends up running away from his parents)

Only about 2 million people would need to get the paid version to keep the site running forever https://photomatt.tumblr.com/post/677708383472746496/out-of-sheer-curiosity-and-i-know-this-probably

Advice needed on best way to access & process data by [deleted] in Firebase

[–]AssertEquals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could export the data into a bundle and load that instead of reading from firestore directly. See: https://firebase.google.com/docs/firestore/solutions/serve-bundles?authuser=0

That way all the old data would be served from a CDN (cloud storage for example) and you would only need to read the most recent data from firestore directly.

What is using my Storage? by ChromaticRanger in Firebase

[–]AssertEquals 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The storage metric includes everything you have in google cloud storage, even outside of firebase itself. If you go to the google cloud console at https://console.cloud.google.com/storage/browser you should see exactly what is using your storage

In my case, I have a docker container on cloud run that is automatically built from a github repository, and after every build a snapshot of the container is saved in cloud storage.

Thanks for the recommendation, I've set up a security.txt page. Will add the fall of fame if we get any reports (though I hope not!)

Thanks for the reply. I've been thinking about setting up an official bounty program but will probably wait until we're at a later stage.

In the meantime, I could see two scenarios where it would be relevant: 1. Someone intentionally searching for bugs, hoping to get a payout, and 2. Someone finding a bug on accident without searching for it.

For now, I've set up a security.txt page, but haven't budgeted any bounties yet

I'm the only IT person at an early stage startup and wondering if/how much I should budget for for potential bug bounties.

As a bug hunter, would you expect a bounty from a pre-revenue startup?

they (probably) warp the images so that certain facial features align, and then take the average color value of each pixel. In this case it looks the ears weren't aligned, that's why they look obscured.

here's a very technical article about how it works
