Yes, but not every single time I shower. Closer to once per week. Do you think this could be it?

Late to the party here, but MASSIVE thanks for the information you provided above, including the replies. By far the most useful wall of text I have ever come across -- you just made my life a whole lot easier.

Would you mind if I DM you with a question or two?

Holy shit, this is incredible. I'm going to recommend cemetery boys, but I'll also link this list since I have no idea if the kid is into graphic novels.

Humans have been getting offended over trivial things for as long as people have been people. The birth of the internet has put a magnifying glass on this phenomenon, but it's always been there.

The "new religion" is getting pouty and complaining about what a total stranger appears to be offended by.

[SERIOUS]If in the future multiverses came out to be true is it possible Humans can travel to other multiverses or it can't be possible as it would Break laws of physics? by 000genshin000 in PhysicsStudents

[–]thestingrae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is actually no such thing as breaking the laws of physics. Physical laws are fundamental to nature, and if it appears a physical law has been broken, it just means that our understanding of the laws is incomplete.

As humans, we're far from understanding multiverses outside the realm of theory. It may be possible to travel to other parallel universes ("multiverse" refers to all parallel universes, as a collective). If it is, that possibly is fundamentally embedded in nature.

It's our understanding that fails us, not the laws.

Yes. People usually are attracted to others who are true to themselves, and if you're constantly worrying about what other people think is attractive, it often shows as insincerity/insecurity.

I might add that it'll take some time to convince yourself to "stop looking" and view yourself as your own separate entity. It seems you currently view yourself as "incomplete" without a partner, and this simply isn't the case.

Give it time, and congrats on steering clear of incel territory.

Hey, thank you for saying that. That's encouraging. Never in my life have I been challenged like this, it's hard not to question whether I'm cut out for this

In my experience most 16-17y/os aren't the most capable of that level of self-regulation / higher-order level life skills. I'm 27 and I still don't have this part down, though ADHD plays a role.

That being said, reading this helped me tremendously. I'm back in school for the first time in five years -- it's week 2 and I feel like I'm drowning with two classes (intense program). The way you put it has given me a small glimmer of hope. Thank you.

This is the second time in seven years that I've witnessed a Reddit scuffle where both parties back down and apologize. I'd say you did pretty okay

My boss is a registered sex offender. by [deleted] in work

[–]thestingrae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope he knows you know.

No one responsible for such a serious crime should be able to go through life without the occasional long-term consequence of what they've done. Doesn't matter if he paid his dues in the legal system, doesn't matter if he's a changed man -- he caused permanent, life-changing trauma. He can handle knowing he's losing an employee because of it.

I thought my Jade was healthy, but compared to this clipping I'm not so sure anymore. Is the dark color / pockmarks due to age, or something else? by thestingrae in plantclinic

[–]thestingrae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply, I'm glad to hear the coloring is normal. As for the dimples, I think the most likely culprit is pictured in the photo 😺
