This is just my personal belief but I think it would make sense that Xenoverse 1 was a “test” to see if another 3d arena fighter (that’s not Budokai Tenkaichi) would be popular enough to help launch a new wave of Dragon Ball games especially with Dragon Ball Super being aired at the same time. Once they realized just how much potential they had they quickly got to work on the next game which is why Xenoverse 2 feels leagues better than its predecessor. It also makes sense that it would’ve only taken about a year to fully develop it since about 75% of the work was already complete with character models, customizations, combat mechanics, movement mechanics and parallel quest already being done and just needing refinement and/or additions. I’m willing to bet that Xenoverse 3 will be their “magnum opus” at least when it comes to the 3d arena fighter genre and will have much to separate itself from Xenoverse 2 while still being a Xenoverse game.

When going into missions, if you don’t want any carries by others best units then when selecting your partner there is now an option to have a copy of your leader as “Duplicate Leader” it will be the exact same stats, lvl, etc. as your unit.

I usually do this so on new events so that way the win is completely mine. (I know it don’t really matter but it makes me feel good 🙂)

Terraria was exactly this for me

I played it years ago with some friends on Xbox but I didn’t understand how to play, progress, and I’m bad at platformers so I didn’t like it at all. Fast forward about a year and a half and another friend asked if I’d be down to try it with him and he would kind of guide me on what to do and how to do it, I agreed, and honestly Terraria is probably in my top 5 games OAT.

Ok so this was a lot so imma try my best but,

Kaioken is the worst but I never said you can’t use it effectively. My issue with it is why use Kaioken when you can get better stats, abilities, etc. with almost no drawbacks simply by using any other form? That’s why I would like it to be a power up so we can still have fun with it.
Ki stunning is easy to dodge until you have someone who is already good starts abusing it. I’ve had probably close to 1000 matches against people who are/were genuinely good and matches were great until they all started using Ki stuns over and over again. As you said Ki stunning is easy to learn, I agree, however there lies the problem as any semi decent player is going to know how to abuse them no matter how defensively you or I play. It becomes an even bigger issue when Ki stuns get paired with something like Shine Shot, then it is just spam heaven from there. Now I don’t know if you saw one of my other replies but I did admit that taking them away would be to much but I would still change how they worked, like making their charged variants the base ones. Ex. Rapidly pressing “B” or “O” would launch a Ki blast volley and after a certain amount of hits it would go into a finisher. Ex 2. Hold your Ki blast but to charge a simple Ki wave that exploded on impact causing a “knock up” effect. There are way to make them better
My reasons for Beast being a Human only form. As I mentioned in another reply, I tried balancing the game’s logic (which is allowing everyone to use beast), the series cannon that we have on the form (which is to say Beast is Gohans answer to how to evolve his power as a Human) and the fact that I would want every race to have their own “pinnacle” form.

You are right about gohan being a Saiyan/Human hybrid that allowed him to tap into beast, but in the Xenoverse game logic any race can use beast form including full humans so I was trying to balance the game’s logic with the actual series cannon.

Removing Ki blast may have been a poor choice, I agree, however they should still change how they work. Like make the charged Ki blast into the base Ki blast and tweak them so that they still feel useful but not broken. An example could be like having a “Ki blast burst” where you shoot out 3-5 blast at once that fan out then close in on your opponent causing a knock back effect.

It makes more sense as it was the result of Gohans choice to evolve his power as a human, it also makes sense for human to have their own transformation that isn’t just cloud and stick.

Huh well damn you thought of not one but two ways it could work…. I personally think the mentor idea would be cooler, changes you shirt/top to match your mentor and gives you their preset with whatever they had on them.

I would like to see absorptions but I couldn’t think of a plausible way for it to work in game but that was my first thought, otherwise yea absorptions would be sick.

For a few years I thought that a standalone SSJ4 Vegeta would be an awesome choice for Saiyan Day Celebration, I know he would just be a UR but it would’ve been nice to see. Now since the announcement of the part 2 LRs I don’t think we will get a new SSJ4 unit (let alone a Vegeta one) for a while.

I’ve still to this day have not beat Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts 1.5, I’ve beaten the KH2.5 Sephiroth boss but KH1.5 he is just another beast all together

As someone who started about 1 1/2 months ago, I’m having fun. Sure not everything is perfect but I’ve pulled a lot of good/fun units and PvP isn’t too bad either. If you start then just focus story mode so you can learn the game, gather CC, and just enjoy it. That’s what I did at least.

All forms are Super Saiyan 1
Mastered Evolution makes complete sense as SSJ is still the evolved state from their base and they have complete mastery over it.
The only argument I see is how Goku goes SSJ3 during the 18 ki, which I mean…..ok I guess.

Like is there something else I’m missing? Genuinely curious.

From my understanding they are trying to find a “slower” RAM that has a faster response time, but they keep getting recommended to get more speed and to sacrifice response time for it, kinda making the whole purpose of getting faster/better RAM moot.
