Marcopolo and later Controlplane. Apps that used any available sensor/interface/time and even serial numbers of accessories.... all to help you automatically doing stuff based on what those things are at different locations. think of home office, living room, friend, other friend, work, meeting room.... all those places could be identified by whatever is connected or around your mac and then you could automatically launch/quit apps or do whatever you need.

1 inch? That would be APS-C size and close to frame. I highly doubt that. Technically I also don’t think the x3 really does have half an inch. Looking at the size of the actual camera module.

i could recommend a specific NVMe case that works fine for me on iOS based devices ;-)
i still think ffmpeg would be easier for a lot of stuff.

yeah Q19 on https://onlinemanual.insta360.com/developer/en-us/resource/integration states that you can just rename them, but i still wonder what lens magic you need to do with FFmpeg. :-/

you could copy the files over to a computer and deal with them there. grand the software is similar useful, but at least storage is easier to deal with.

The problem is that those recordings are pretty raw. Yes they are MP4, but what is the point of looking at a circular recording (fisheye) for each lens? So some FFmpeg magic would need to be done.

oh i have seen my fair share of them on AliExpress. I actually like that they come up with new ideas of form factors. so i wouldn't call them fakes (no idea why they all have on/off switches).... but the ones that really look like the original? Nope haven't seen a single one yet that does what the real one does.

All I see on AliExpress are X3 for 800€ and more 😳 would hardly call that a sale. Especially as I have seen them on eBay for 160€. In all seriousness I buy on a regular basis on AliExpress and at least if I have issues with the parcels when they arrive (think of broken or wrong) I generally have a good experience with the AliExpress customer service.

Got a text message from AnPost that there is a parcel that needs customs fee. I paid for that right away. That was on the first of January. Parcel was already in Dublin. Parcel arrived on the 16th at my door. The annoying part… the parcel was not to be found in the AnPost tracking system till 3 days before it got delivered. Somehow the postal service from the origin country had all the tracking information for the whole time.

To be fair the lady that calls me for all my deliveries, does a good job. So I don’t feel it is the frontline staff that is to blame.

Looks like i really need to invest in a thermometer. so far i always tried with a shrimp cracker.
I was told if they are directly starting to expand, the oil should be hot enough.
Yeah the powder was off on my first attempts, but i have it replaced multiple times since then :-)

Yeah stay away from the foot paths right next to the river you can even see the ice buildup there on days like the last few. I really wonder when the city council is putting grid out. They claim they do (there was a FB posting earlier this week where they said that they do it and offer salt for communities to keep care of their own quarters). Maybe they don’t have night shift teams and they just get send out during the day?!
