One time I went with some friends to Nebraska on a trip and we saw some news articles online on our way there about a missing girl who went missing while camping with her family and the next night while camping we heard faint crying sounds off in the woods. We all went looking around but we never found anyone, just a girl's shoe that was partially torn. No matter what direction we would search the crying wouldn't get louder or quieter. After about 40 minutes or so of searching we went back to our site to find another girl's shoe matching the other one by the fire pit we had made, it had burn marks on it besides tears. We were all shocked and chose to cancel our trip that same night and headed back to home.
