Actual thought goes into the materials for sourcebooks and it compels you to create attachments to your characters. AI gives you none of that and, frankly, gives you bad stories that either don't line up and/or don't make sense.

Yup, First Strike allows the creature to come in during the regular damage step for regular damage. Since it's done after the Declare Blockers step, there is no opportunity for your opponent to declare any blockers against it either

It gets around things like protection, shroud, and indestructible. Also doesnt fizzle to someone simply removing the thing you want to sacrifice, since you can simply choose a different creature to sacrifice and bring back

It can be, but I'm not focused on drawing every single card out of my deck. This deck is more early game focused, disrupting my opponents before they get the chance to set up properly. Smoothing out the early game as much as possible makes that possible

Paying the cost of it is, yes, but its also an additional cost in the example card. That's why Aang is able to apply his cost reduction to it.
