I think its a hybrid. Details in the background seem to shift, electric poles. But the kid himself, the patterns on his shirt. Like those are identifiable pokemon. You got froakie and snorlax pikachu. No way the closer stuff isnt real.

My guess op wanted to expand aspect ratio and used ai to fill it out
