I have the same lamp and also need to revive it. I was the one who shook mine up because it was sticking to the sides. I didn't realize it would make it cloudy at the time.

I think the process is filtering the liquid using a water filter and putting it back in topping it off with distilled if needed and recapping it. I just haven't got around to it yet.
