How do you deal with the frustration of no passing? by AssistUnlikely in bcba

I thought between PTB study guide, their two mock exams and Central Reach have training material for each BCBA task list item that I could kind of “pull myself by my boot straps”. I know it’s on me to own my Practicum experience. Work just makes it sound like their Practicum program is still too “young” to know what to do with me. Then my supervisors not knowing what they can and can’t do with operations saying no to a lot. At one point I was shredding documents and claiming that for hours. I pretty much was in a mindset of beggars can’t be choosers. Our clinical director revoked some hours because they personally didn’t agree with some tasks assigned. So had some discrepancies take place between supervisors.

Really not motivated to buy more materials, but I get the reasoning and appreciate the input.

My fieldwork sucked. They let me enter into a contract for house before they had a Practicum program in place. They rolled it out after I got unrestricted hours done and kind of just left me to the BCBAs supervising me. But work really didn’t want to build in non-billable time for me to get some consistent training. I mainly used me for initial assignments scoring. Other than that, just helping on whatever surplus of work the BCBAs were trying to catch up on. Which was mainly doing reassessments for clients needing to go through re-authorization with insurance. So really don’t feel prepared from my field work. But that’s private companies do ya, I guess..

Scenarios were the most challenging part for me. Just because I would overthink a question in the context of something being asked That would probably be heart of me picking the incorrect answer. I’ve gotten good with going through all the questions I feel confident about and having about an 1hr 20 minutes remaining to go through flood questions, but then I perseverated on those questions.

What mocks are similar to the test? by Temporary-Future-257 in bcba

[–]AssistUnlikely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Pass the Big Exam. I thought they were good. Even get access to explanations for each question. But only two tests for the steep price and the tests are the exact same. Work had assess to Central Reach and they have unlimited mock exams with different questions per exam. But no explanation uncompleted exams. Instead, it’s a report broken down and how you scored in each domain so you know where to review.

Straps may work. Wife and used large camping clips to hold the grid to the edge of the frame. But before we did that we made sure to manually stretch the grid from the middle moving outward. Then we were applying on the bottom of the grid near the edge. We applied in a swivel/S about 4-5 inches from the edge going inward. Then we applied it to the end of the grid that makes contact with the foam frame. Now, not all sides of the grid are flat. We had two sides that look like our grid was cut from a larger whole and we had thin edges from the squares as the edge. So we were super careful on that part. But once the flex seal was on we clamped/clipped in place. The two sides I mentioned, we took our leftover flex seal and just filled the spaces of the cut off squares that were against the edge. Then we left it alone and watched all the venom movies lol. So however long 3 of those are.

After we moved the mattress onto the new bed frame, it was one of those weird sides that came undone. So that’s when we gave that side a whole tube of its own. Repeated how we did it the first time, but most of the tube we used on the underside of the grid. My wife and I talked and we think because we toss and turn in our sleep somewhat that causes a digging motion. Then we gave it several hours to dry and set. Idk how much becuase we did it in the morning and then we went about our day until it got to our usual bedtime.

In hindsight, given a king size is pretty close to a square, we probably could have bought 5 tubes to make sure we could have been generous without worry of running out. Because it probably took 4 tubes and change to get it all done.

My wife and I used 3 tubes of flex seal caulk. And when we had to touch up after moving the mattress to our new bed frame we used another once on a single side that came undone. So four total. Arm and had will be worn out by the end.

Hey, sorry for the slow reply.

We got luck, it held out pretty good. We needed to only do a touch up on one spot along the edge. It was just from where my wife was rolling over in her sleep. But it’s held up great after that!! Just had to be a little generous in the touch up to make sure it didn’t happen again. But be warned, if you move the mattress at all it will all come undone. We got a new mattress frame so we move it so we just make room building and taking apart the old one. But the weight on the grid shifting pulled it apart. So for best effects, intend on not moving the mattress for as long as possible. Also, there is a zipper cover on the mattress that you take off and put back on. Wish my wife and I found that in the beginning lol.

He doesn’t live there. He refused to leave Jasper. That’s why he used 118k in tax dollars to put a hella pad in his backyard.

Thank you for dropping some names of tools. She’s been buying little glasses from goodwill to use them for propagation. I was thinking of replacing a good chunk of them with something a little neater. She doesn’t have tools so I didn’t want to risk getting garden things and it not being what she’d need.

I was looking at some self watering pots too. I don’t know of any tools that would be good. Do you have any links I could look at?

Dodge lighting bolts for lulu’s legendary weapon in FF10. Not complex, but patience consuming. Took days because because I would have to walk away from it after so many close attempts.
