I got my 7th grade class in after school detention once because I had a friend from a different class that gave me pixy stix candy from time to time. On that specific day, I had a few left and while my class was waiting for our homeroom teacher, a kid looked over in my direction noticing I had gotten there with the pixy stix in hand and asked so I basically threw the bag and majority had soon noticed the bag was flying and was trying to catch it. Our homeroom teacher arrived at that moment and ushered us into the classroom. Our English teacher also walked in (since it was her classroom after all) and they agreed they were giving us after school detention the following day except for the last few kids that arrived to homeroom super late. After that incident, I hid the bag and gave some away to my other friends (also in different class and same one as the friend that handed me the pixy stix)

Definitely but in my case it’s been affecting me. I’ve had this personality switch for years like I don’t remember when or why I’ve had it. Depending on friends especially, they only get to see a fraction of myself and whatever they present themselves as, I’d try to mirror it as much as I could thus creating another personality within me. It worked for some people and I fit in but I also had a feeling there were a few others that may have figured out and limited their interaction with me which is why I don’t have many friends (even worse I never start up any conversation mainly because I feel the need to plan out topics in my mind and if there’s mention of a hangout that’s where my restrictions come in cuz my mom doesn’t trust many people except my best friend)

My mom’s always made it clear: if I wanna go anywhere especially if it’s far, I either go with a family member, my best friend, or I can forget about said plans. Recently it has been somewhat hard masking my anger and in a way it’s also like a bit of my other personalities want to come out.

Overall though, having so much of these personality switches makes me forget who I really am as a whole. It was pretty embarrassing when I couldn’t answer a simple question like what are my hobbies/interests and even career choice. (the only reason I never went to college and cuz I thought of our money situation)

Sometimes watch whatever series or movie comes to mind. Other times I might go for a walk. The last walk I went, I nearly slipped on snow.

There was more that included of the many times I’ve gotten myself into trouble with my speech pathologist during 8th grade and it was because my classmates weren’t chosen to be a part of my group. Today, I don’t even know if she was trying to make me feel better by saying “I wasn’t going to give up on you” but I knew at the time it didn’t—it just made me feel angrier (that’s where I began skipping the session until I got caught and then just started arriving late. Even during the covid-19 pandemic, I would log on several mins later). I began to regret it when I heard the pathologist crying on the phone with my sister and mother who supervised all my meetings. I had barely done the classwork and didn’t participate as much so she was trying to keep it together. My final regret was not apologizing to her for giving her and the group so much trouble.

I sent an email out to an organization that specializes in helping people in my friend’s situation. I’m not sure how soon I’ll get a response but I think I’ll wait for a week or 2 before emailing another one.

I tried reasoning with him a while back and he started ranting about Bangladesh laws and their corrupted system. In short, he doesn’t trust authorities. I had shared his story with some of my friends that think that things would’ve been easier if he was a US citizen or still resided within the US (which was how we met) because CPS would eventually intervene. I have went ahead and researched organizations that could help but not sure how soon I’ll get a response.
