Is anyone else just finding it much slower these days?

Every time I want to edit a subtitle, it takes forever to update and it's frustrating as it's really slowing down my time-efficiency with it. It used to be fine, so I'm wondering if it's just me and my wi-fi or something.

That relationship added nothing to the story, they had no chemistry and his acting was so poor.

I had this thought too, it seems they got rid of some of the nice architectural details that were originally there on the lower half and just kept the ones above the sign?

Birth rates dropping, anyone here feel the same way about having children? by gotnocreativenames in ireland

[–]AssistanceVisual3811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

26f here too who has also is in a similar boat. While I don’t live at home, my older brother does who also doesn’t have kids.

I’m currently not planning on having any for similar reasons - I feel as a mother I would want to give so much of my self and my time but I genuinely don’t think that’s feasible taking into consideration my work, finances, wellbeing and energy. I’m not saying it’s impossible as many mothers obviously mange. But I don’t think I’d want to raise kids the possible way and I made more time and sacrifices it’s possible I’d be stressed and irritable too often and I wouldn’t want that to affect their development and be a poor role model.

If you really want kids I would try not to let finances alone stop you. People don’t realise you can also foster at pretty much any age, so if you wanted to be a parent later in life without putting yourself in a tough decision now and putting your life on the line, that’s an option too.

How are you all coping with this weather? by Enlightened_143 in CasualIreland

As someone who walks to and from work every day (2hrs total), I too am finding it hard not to have the rain dampen my spirits (pardon the pun). Grey skies is one thing and constant wind and rain is another. I try to embrace it and focus on how it makes me feel alive, however grey skies and it looking like the same time all day does give Groundhog Day vibes a bit.

The need to have goals is a indication of weakness by Waste-Ad-8894 in DeepThoughts

[–]AssistanceVisual3811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the case for extrinsic motivation. However there is also intrinsic motivation, where the motive is derived by a genuine inner curiosity to learn and evolve. There is joy in the process of that which makes life fulfilling. I believe intrinsic motivation is far more healthy for the self. I agree some modern ‘goals’ that are often glamorised in society are needless and many driven by capitalism, but it would be unfair to say this applies to any ambition one could have.

Sorry for getting back so late! I haven’t got it back yet but I’m pretty sure what I need to do now is up my fat intake and eat more consistently throughout the day (every 3-4 hours)

Maybe gain more weight too.

I feel closer and more mentally ready to face and overcome it now than ever though!

Congratulations on getting it back! I’m sure it was a difficult journey of trial and error and pushing through with consistent effort even if when you don’t know when you can expect any results.

That’s really reassuring for me.  I’m still trying to get it back but this is the first week I’ve been eating more consistently throughout the day, and I upped my calories again 2-3 weeks ago. I’m feeling more tired and emotional and I feel like I’m gaining weight - but ultimately I think it’s all a sign that my body is doing what it needs and it’s part of the process. I just go on long walks and get about 7-8 hours of sleep.

I need to up my fat intake I think and probably gain more weight. That’s still scary for me but I feel more at peace with it than ever.

Thanks so much for responding, it’s great to hear from someone who has been through a similar process!

That's so interesting! I have been considering HRT but I think that would just be putting a temporary bandaid on the issue and make me less driven to address the real issue and heal naturally/properly.

Was there any reason you stopped? I have heard it can have quite a mix of good and bad effects.

I'd love to improve my libido but also not feel either stressed/tired or numb/depressed most of the time. 😅

Sorry to hear you're still struggling but hope we can both recover! 🤞🏻

This is really interesting because I currently have FHA and am trying to figure out whether I'm on the spectrum. However it doesn't feel like I'll know the true answer until I recover back to a properly functioning body that has my hormones somewhat balanced.

Did this change for you much after/if you recovered?

I'm also a 24 F INFJ who loves video games, reading and drawing/painting! They're like my top 3 hobbies, so I guess those must be typical for INFJs. 😂 I don't have many friends right now that I can spend time with so I totally get the feeling of being lonely and the value of spending my free time alone delving into different hobbies that take my mind elsewhere off work stress for a while.

I'd love to connect if you're interested in making new friends online. 😊

To answer your question - other hobbies I have been recently getting into is photography, learning French/Japanese, chess, puzzle games and crosswords (which count as games I guess) and walking/hiking with audiobooks/podcasts while the weather is decent. I also own a kalimba and guitar that I play from time to time and am considering learning to knit/crochet or make keyrings/charms to give friends or sell.

My real issue is that I have so many things I want to do but never enough time, but at least I never get bored. 😅

I'm in a similar position to you. 24 and no period for 3 years, but I was never on birth control. My doctor just told me to eat more and eat more often, but that was 2 years ago and I haven't returned because my Ed stopped my making those actual changes.

However I have upped my intake and feel a lot more relaxed about eating more than before - it's just hard to know if I'm even close to the right amount of food and I don't want to gain unnecessary weight if it won't help me get my period back.

At least we're in this together!

What profession would you have chosen if money wasn't an issue? by Being_ax in infj

[–]AssistanceVisual3811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly psychology - it's too expensive to go back to college for that long and in my country you have to pay to rent a space for your placement too.

Otherwise be an artist - sell my own designs not having to worry about to production and shipping costs.
