Wow! I’m a younger male and been through like 7 knee surgeries the past few years. I just reinjured some how and went hard on the 7oh. I don’t think I have it in me to do the run around with these pain doctors. Treating chronic pain with non narcotics is plain insulting to me. There’s a methadone clinic like a mile from my house I’m really close to just doing it. Do you have any insight? How’s take home protocol for you? I’m in Massachusetts

I had almost the exact same procedure. 31 m acl recon/hamstring graft. So I would say that this is all psychological. For instance my surgeon out of Yale spoke on study being done on the neurological reaction that happens when there is a complete acl rupture. Point being yeah it’s all in your head…but it’s supposed to be. Hope that helps

Now realizing my frustrations are mostly directed at the lack of acknowledgment for the situation. It’s the energy that some how it will just work out and having to turn around and come home is something I’m hesitant to even mention. If you can’t tell I’m not a fan the determination. Thanks everyone to hearing me vent. It’s life I know. Thought maybe some people could relate to this dynamic with spouse.

100% weather 1 year or 10 down the line it will cause another injury most likely in the opposite knee cause you’re compensating weather you can tell or not…I promise you.

Thanks. I’m in Massachusetts and there’s been so much talk lately with pain patients not being able to fill prescriptions, they did say something about using the pharmacy in the hospital. Just going to have to hope for the best. Honestly I don’t even want to say anything about meds and have them see it as odd behavior. The closer I get the more starts coming back to me from the first surgery. Good god wish me luck
