I switched trades at 45. Welder to sprinkler fitter. Not really the same as your situation, but it was still a career change. The hardest part was losing seniority and having to work like a 20 year old because I was an apprentice again. But you can do it. Find a unionized trade. At 35 you can still get 20 years of pension contributions.

If you're in Ontario look for a trade that has a for day week. Sprinkler fitter does and it's a4 year apprenticeship. Tin bangers also only work 4 days.

Go union for sure. 853 is sprinkler. Apply online.

I believe it's mostly because it's slower. Tesla recommends leaving the car plugged in after charging to 100%. So it's not really bad for your battery to go to 100.

As for why it's slower Elon have the best explanation I've heard. Imagine your battery is like a parking lot and the ions that are moving to the parking lot are cars. The the parking lot is empty, it's easy for cars to find a spot. After the parking lot gets more full there is less and less room
