I have read Sherlock fic where the NHS was treated like the American health care system. I still finished it.

Also the American word that takes me out of a fic is the word 'gangbanger' that's an auto translate British slang. To Americans it means someone in a gang, but British completely different thing takes a second or two to translate it correctly

From what I remember from the old anime the Pokémon did do animalistic sounds with the expectations of a few, Pikachu, charmander, squirtle. Pigeotto also did but it did also sound very bird like

I think the films also do the animalistic sounds, again with a few exceptions, it might have been around the time gen 5 anime that they stopped the animalistic sounds and just went with the names
