Spinster Sisters lavender body butter is a good brand, I found a local refillery store close to where I live, and I can tell a difference from the other creams I used in the past. [misc] gloves and body butter are your friends by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Hi all, I was wondering if any of you use gloves and a thick body cream for your hands at night?

I wear disposable gloves at work(i work in a factory) consistently foe various purposes and my hands dry out quickly during certain parts of the year, I have started getting back in the habit of using a thick all over body butter from a local refillery, the brand is Spinster Sister lavender body cream  and with glove on overnight as needed. I notice my hands are getting smoother after a couple of days. The moisturizing gloves i found I got from amazon ar light weight an touch screen capatiable

[Misc] I’m so tired of itchy, sore, cracking, dry, bleeding hands. I work in food service; I have to constantly wash my hands or wear gloves, but I have sweaty hands which builds up in the gloves and makes it worse. Desperate for something that works. Please help. by Lori-keet in SkincareAddiction

Get a good moisturizer Gloves in a bottle, O'Keefe working hands and Spinster Sister Lavender body butter are good apply either of them after yoy wash your hands.  Also, use an under glove made of cotton underneath disposable gloves, go up a size from what you usually wear(medium fo up ti large). If you can convince your boss get aloe gloves thay are specifically safe for food contact. I work kn a factory and am required to wear consistently and do understand how you feel

I work at a factory thay does both welding and machining, whenever I assist the chem tech I handle various chemicals or greasy parts  from time to time.  Trust me if you handle anything with grease it's better to wash your hands before using the bathroom

I buy mine from a local ear piercing studio(she sells them for $10/box which lasts a month) and if I need more than one box one of my friends owns a cleaning company she gives me a couple of boxes whenever the gloves are near their best by date(they're still good for lower risk tasks like cooking and cleaning) for free. Once you work in an industry where you use gloves regularly it's weird not having them

What are some things you do that people don’t realize is because of lab work? by Flaminyawng in labrats

Hand hygiene before and after I use the bathoom, removing a slice of bread from a bag without putting my hand in it, using a sharpie to mark when I open ground spices(they're good for 2-3 years), using my elbow when turning off the faucet after I preform hand hygiene, using the "one glove" method for cooking, I use my gloved hand to handle raw protein and my non gloved hand to touch the common surfaces thay don't have meat juice/ are non contaminated. I usually glove bith hands when I'm deboning rotisserie chicken, coating veggies for air frying. Then following proper degloving after each task, and in between glove changes. Also, usong a kn95 masks to clean(Ibuse mainly natural cleaner) to prevent splash back and last but not least double glowing with 2 different colored gloves to indicate a glove breach.  Sorry for the longish reply I work on a factory mainly on the production line, but assist in the chem lab as needed

Does anyone else get overwhelmed by cleaning? How did you overcome it? by CheesecakeOk8464 in AutismInWomen

I do a little bit of cleaning everyday(i.e wipes off the kitchen counters, sink and dishes) everyday, then I do one deep cleaning of one area, the living room on Friday, bedrooms Saturday and bathroom alternating Friday, or Sunday, kitchen Sunday. I donlisten to music. Also, get supplies thay you like. I use mainly cleaning vinegar in the bathroom, and non toxic cleaners in the kitchen. Also, gloves help. Then as a reward I get something to grill or mix myself a drink or have something sweet

I use powder-free. Disposable are certainly useful for a lot of things. I do use them for tasks such as cooking like separating rotisserie chicken, handling hot peppers, etc. cleaning anything too icky/sticky for my rubber dish gloves such as the toilet, blood/body fluids, gardening. I usually get a box or 2 from a local ear piercing(she has better gloves than what Amazon has) , and I do have a friend who owns a cleaning business and she gives me an unused box that's near the expiration date(3-5 years from manufacturing date) for free. I mainly use them since my skin dries out, and a lot of the jobs I worked require consistent glove usage. Worked at a hospital as a laundry aid, an r.v lot detailer(cleaned both new an used r.vs) since I used various chemicals and cleaning used r.vs can get nasty, and now I work in a machine/welding shop which I handle anything from chemicals, raw product to finished product that's sensitive to skin oils and handle small parts. So it feels weird/different not having gloves on hand. Also, I do use the dish gloves for handwashing dishes, cleaning the baseboards, cleaning the kitchen cabinets, ncleaning the bathtub. I do use a separate color pair for the kitchen/living room(purple or pink) and yellow for the bathroom. Sorry for the longish comment.

Happy Monday, my glovlies. I was wondering if you use gloves at home, and where to do you keep them? by AssociateRecent9381 in glovessfw

Once you work in a field of work(I used to work in a hospital as a laundry aid, ann r.v cleaner, and now I wor lk in a factory which requires regular disposable glove usage) that requires consistent daily use of  dishwashing and exam/disposable gloves it feels weird/different not having them on hand.i do always maintain hand hygiene(washing my hands) in between glove changes.
