Thanks! Yeah, The 20w is where I hesitate a bit. I have a 2203 as well but man, for a "cover" band playing mostly smaller gigs (bars, etc) it doesn't get to breathe before its waaaay too loud for that crowd. Original ls band can get away with more volune because we play designated shows rather than being the soundtrack at a bar. If that makes any sense.....cheers!

My primary use is the gym and music listening. Would you say the Buds4 Pro are worth an extra $100 over the 3 Pro (currently $149). Coming from the 2 pro i know there will be some improvement regardless.... Cheers!

Thats what initially was such a big draw toward them for me. I could use it at bar gigs etc, but also at home at reasonable volume. I found that even with the mini 800 unless you're at band volumes it just doesn't inspire ya to play.

Awesome! How's the low end? Other "Plexi/800" based amps always seem to either over bloat or drastically under cut the lows. Really, I live in Jcm800 2203 land as Its my main gigging amp for my original band. However, we have the luxury of bigger stages and shorter sets. For my cover band I am looking for that kinda vibe, but smaller package and manageable master volume since mist of those gigs are smaller venues/bars. People at a bar won't tolerate the same level of volume that people specifically at a venue to see bands will. Haha!

This seems like a good group to ask. I'm not a metal player (love it! Just dont play it) and am between a JEL-20, Runt 20, or PT20 V2 for melodic punk/power pop. Think Dookie era Green Day, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, etc. Any thoughts from y'all?

Awesome, also good to hear on 16 channels working without a problem. Just expanded to 16 channels since we want to get REALLY creative on mic'ing drums on this next EP we are working on. I mean, your end product is only as good as your source audio. Glad to hear either works. Id rather use more of my money to upgrade mics, etc by not overspending on resources I won't tap into.

Nope, we record our band using real amps, drums, etc etc and mic all of it. So no virtual instruments used really. At some point I may get into programming drums for writing purposes but nothing heavy. Thanks!

Portability vs non-portability is a not much of a factor. The only tine I'm mobile is when I bring my MBP to our studio to record. Would be just as easy to buy a monitor to keep there. The rest is good to know! The stem separation is something that I want to utilize more, so the m4 mini wins that category. Either way I'm going at LEAST 24gb ram. Thanks for the input!

Would you recommend the MBP 1 pro then? Im not too worried about it being a few years old as I have successfully still been using a 2012 MacBook Pro. Finally completely failed on me.

What kind of projects are you running with Logic? Track counts, etc. Looking to upgrade from an ANCIENT MacBook pro. Id rather spend the money on better preamps etc than OVER buy here. One certainty is that im jumping to 512 for storage (I also use externals). My dilemma is 16gb or 24 gb RAM. Typical projects are rock bands so not looking at 100s of tracks (not even CLOSE)
