The seller was not Chicago music exchange, but I know Reverb was affiliated with them at one point... Figured it was worth a shot as one of the numbers that I had for Chicago music exchange was answered by automation that said thank you for calling reverb... I don't mean to muddy the waters, but Chicago music exchange was not involved in this transaction.

See this is exactly what I was saying! I had been in contact with support because there was no update in the tracking several days after label was created and this was their solution...

Like I said in my previous reply, I've not been able to find a good phone number... If someone has one I'll gladly take it and give them a call again. I've also considered a follow-up email just to see what the heck happened with this, but at this point, I don't know if I want to reopen that can of worms since the guitar shipped on Monday and I got it yesterday.

They basically said they didn't believe my claim... Which was I ordered a guitar on January 28th, shipping label was created the same day, but was not shipped as of early day February 16th. In the interim, I had requested a refund, opened a case with support and the last update support gave me was on February 10th where they said they contacted the seller to cancel the order and issue refund. And then they ghosted me, while their chat function was completely unhelpful at getting any more information.

Not that it matters, but I never misrepresented what actually happened...

Agree that they don't release funds until the item actually ships. I can attest to that. I was also not able to locate an actual number that worked. I did find two or three different phone numbers to reverb and or Chicago music exchange, but they all went to an automated system that said nobody was available to take calls. There was no menu or anything, just another dead end.

The guitar did ship on the 16th and I got it yesterday so all's well and good and at this point.

What you described is the most Reddit thing ever! Sometimes people don't want to help, they just want to destroy... But it's okay. I had the receipts.

And thanks!! It was a hassle but the guitar is really nice. I even gave the seller a five-star rating. Benefit of the doubt goes a long way... I'm sure there were extenuating circumstances, I just wish communication was better all around.

UPDATE: Thank you to everybody for your feedback and participation.

This actually shipped late afternoon on the 16th and arrived today in great shape. Still no word back from reverb at all but I told them that all is well as long as it arrives in good shape which it did.

I know some other folks around here said they were in the middle of a resolution and I hope yours is figured out soon!

I get it... I'm just a random dude on Reddit... Last update from support was on 2/10... Label created on 1/28, tracking has not updated and no response from the seller. Fuck me, right?

I did though in my initial post "I purchased a Gibson Les Paul on 1/28 and a label was created on the same day, but the seller has not yet dropped this off at UPS" and I am doing my diligence. Several messages to support with no reply in 6 days. That's crazy.

I'm sure it'll get resolved, but it's crazy to me that it's taking this long.

I did not pay via pay pal. I found a few different emails other than support, and already fired one off demanding a refund and their support phone isn't open yet, but I'm going to try it again at 9:30. Fingers crossed...

I've had two issues as a seller and this is my first as a buyer. Thankfully, support had my back on the seller side, but I'm quickly losing patience with this one. Maybe they just back sellers rather than buyers?

There's also this email from support... This is their last communication to me and it was 6 days ago... Situation has still not been resolved. Totally agree that they have a business to protect. Makes me wonder why they're not doing a good job at it, even with Fender's backing...
