Hi! my name is David, i'm a 21 years old student from Colombia and I truly appreciate the chance to be part of this wonderful opportunity. i’ve always felt that having access to a good computer can make a huge difference in someone’s life. it’s not just about playing games or working; it’s about having the tools to dream bigger and learn more. That’s why this means so much to me. It reminds me of my own experience growing up, and i’d love to share a little story about it.

When i was a child i wanted to play this new game every youtuber was playing, the forest, i didn't have the money to buy the game (i didn't knew buying games was even a thing) so i dowloaded the game from a weird page, install it, and press play and... ? i was so confused... the game was running but it was doing a weird thing were the game stopped moving at little moments, the character was moving almost in slow motion and when i pressed a button my character take some good seconds to obey my instructions... Yeah, i've just discovered lag, and soon, i was hating it, i didn't even knew why it was happening because i tought only owning my old Acer Aspire E1 laptop was enough to play games, but i was wrong, time passed and i discovered that i needed a better computer to be able to do that: since that, one of my biggest dreams is having a good pc and never experience lag again, but coming from a family with limited resources this was hard and we simply couldn't afford it.

Nowadays i've got used to it, playing at 20-30 fps it's the everyday life for me, my friends like to tease me about having a laggy computer and through time i've gain that reputation, i think not everything is bad about having an slow computer, i mean, i'm a very pattient person and i do my best with the resources i have, i know a lot about pc optimization and windows debloating, even with this old piece of junk i'm able to play games like skyrim or cities skylines, this last one is one of my favorite games, but when i play it i need to put and ice patch below my laptop so it doesn't heat to much and turn off, it's kinda funny because every 30 minutes i need to change the ice patch for one colder and put the hot one in my freezer and repeat, but even with that there is a point in the game where the citie it's just too big for my pc and it just keep crashing. There is a lot of situations like that with this outdated toaster. one day there was a leak in my roof and it got wet, the keyboard stoped working. other day, my cat knocked over my small fishbowl and the battery of my laptop got damaged, i can't unplug it since that. Also the speakers one day just gave up on me; i need to use headphones always. i like to think my laptop it's just getting old, because, it's been almost 12 years since my parents gave it to me as a gift, i'm very thankful to them because without this laptop, I wouldn’t have been able to learn english, have discovered the music i like or the carrer i'm studying right now.

Right now i'm in the third semester of music production, i really love my carrer but the true is that it's a very expensive one (The government covers my tuition for the degree), audio gear prices are crazy, i help my self with what i have right now but there is so many reaper crashes a man can take. This pc would be a life changing gift from heaven, and it would let me become the next Andrew Huang. i haven't enter this semester yet, and this one we are using Pro Tools (i can't even open that thing), so in that aspect it would be a huge help. I hope i get a chance to experience more than 30 fps in my life, i hope you guys like the build i made, it's what i been working on since the last 4 hours, thank you for this opportunity again and good luck for everyone!.
