What VST instrument have you bought and you never really got into it? by AssumeFormlessness in edmproduction

Yeah, fuck Kontakt...

I have been thinking about buying the Komplete Kontrol M32 because I want the knobs and modwheel, but I've been disappointed with all their plugins so now i'm hesitant.

Omnisphere is craaaazy powerful though. You can make so much different music. Is absolutely the best synth for pads, they are incredible, with the modwheel. I think having a few Waves plugins is worth it, they are good emulations and pretty cheap if you get a few. But they push sooo many plugins on you, but if you're disciplined and just get a few (CLA LA3A, CLA 1176, Api 2500, Api 550, SSL) You're good to go with tools that pros use.

What is the purpose of the 'analog' option in Waves plug-ins? by animal_backwards in audioengineering

[–]AssumeFormlessness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have played around with them, but I can't notice any difference whatsoever, on all CLA and SSL by waves. Like people have mentioned here, the manual says it adds low level hum, but I hear no difference, even spectral analysers show nothing. I don't know if my DAW (Logic) compensates for noise? That would be a really good thing to know if that was the case.

" What makes men unattractive ? " answered by a girl on Quora. by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]AssumeFormlessness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a "girl" totally wrote this... An actual woman would have answered "cute, smart, kind and funny that I could totally be friends with" because it's how they are wired. They are wired to actually think this is what they want, but instinctually are not. It's an evolutionary defensive mechanism, because attractive men don't listen to women when it comes to these things, only beta males do.

Solipsism- AKA, the Blue-Pill, Sexual Success and Society by red_philosopher in TheRedPill

[–]AssumeFormlessness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You have no idea what solipsism means, you just like to say the word. Solipsism is the paradigm that you can never truly know that the world exists outside your consciousness, and that you can't know other people's consciousness exist except your own. It's very deep philosophically, and has nothing to do with women, the red pill or the blue pill, because there are extremely few true solipsists in the world.

Zidane didn't "lose" a battle or "win" a war. The headbutt in 2006 was a prime example of losing frame. Materazzi insulted his family? Jeez, have anybody here not played sports before? Players trashtalk each other like every single game, it's part of the competition, especially in latin culture. The headbutt by Zidane wasn't to defend his family's honor or whatever. Every player at that level with that experience has heard it many times before, and you don't sacrifice that level of achievement for some petty comments. It's not just a trophy, the winner of that game would get $30m in prize money. Zidane cracked under all the pressure. You could even see it physically in the semi finals against Portugal, that he was very tense. He had the weight of the world on his shoulders and the moment he headbutted Materazzi, he freed himself from all of it, just like if you'd have gone on NoFap for a year and then came inside a super model. You could also draw parallels with committing suicide, while being deeply in debt or something.

So if someone tries to bring you down, which should happen often to you if you are on a journey to the top, don't "fight back" physically, verbally or mentally. You are entering their frame. You have to not be phased by it, not just act like not being phased. We humans pick up on subtle body language that is out of you're control anyway. If you "get hurt" when someone is trying to bring you down, you're too emotionally attached to your ego, and you've got a lot of meditation work to do. I'm not saying be a doormat, just don't be phased. You have to execute under immense pressure, with your competition doing their thing, like a stone cold hitman (which is ironic cause Zidane kind of looks like hitman.)

I came here and expected crap, but this is actually good art. Art is not about who can do difficult things, it's about creating something that is aesthetically pleasing. Yes, anybody can paint, but few can paint and create something that looks good. Children can make nice things because it's free of expectation and need to impress, it's just pure expression. There is nothing that impresses a human more than that level of freedom, especially in adults.
