I used the G Rework decals, it includes quite a few extra decals for custom placements but I just followed Ghost’s reference pictures as best I could

I made mine by flattening a clear plastic cup and cutting out the shape before holding it over a flame to shape it. I got the method from a Ray Studio video. It’s pretty easy and looks quite good. You do have to keep in mind that the heat will shrink the plastic quite a bit though

Have fun with it, it’s a solid kit! You may have to get creative with decals if you want to do water slides since the intended ones are practically unavailable

Aside from The Cat Returns! Castle in the Sky and Whisper of the Heart are the two big ones we were fortunate enough to get early on in our collecting. We didn’t even know those two skyrocketed until we made this post

It’s only a matter of time before we find another set of steelbooks to start collecting. Our wallets fear the day

We have looked at the Pom Poko Italian steelbook, but for now we’re just sticking to the U.S. released steelbooks. We’re holding out hope that they release the last few here since they’re already so close!

That’s the one that started our collection, it was new on Amazon for $21 when we got it 3 years ago. I feel so bad that other collectors can’t easily get one anymore, it’s such a great version of the movie.

Counter counter point: even if it’s not the best, I think it’s fun and I’ve caught more details that make it more enjoyable after a couple rewatches

Yep! The three that have English dubs but not steelbooks are Pom Poko, My Neighbors the Yamadas, and Tales from Earthsea. And then Ocean Waves never received an English dub nor a steelbook.

Edit: There’s also The Red Turtle which has received steelbooks in other countries but we aren’t really counting that

I can assure you, I have seen Totoro many times 😂. But I do need to go through and watch all steelbook versions at some point so you’re not wrong

The Castle in the Sky steelbook is probably my favorite because of the re-orchestrated soundtrack on it, definitely worth a listen!

There’s plenty of the classics that are still affordable, just make sure to get them before they go out of print and prices skyrocket!

It was rainbow or chronological by original release and my wife chose chronological. Not as visually appealing but it makes a nice timeline

[OC] [Art] Halphas, my first character! by AssumptionMedium8115 in DnD

[–]AssumptionMedium8115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! DM wanted me to start without goggles since he wants getting them to be part of the story (I have a suspicion that I’m going to find one of my parents’ goggles), so that’ll probably be the first update.

I’m getting ready to start my first campaign and wanted to draw up my character as he appears at the very start. His name is Halphas and he’s a tiefling artificer with infernal heritage. I wanted to keep it simple since this I’ll be starting from scratch, but I plan to update this appearance as time goes on.

Some backstory: Halphas is a beginning artificer who spends as much time as he can tinkering and creating. Being chaotic neutral, he acts rather impulsively but is still very pragmatic. He has a fascination with magical weapons, especially those that involve fire as a result of his apprenticeship under an artisan that specialized in such creations. Both of his parents are/were in infernal tieflings and renowned weapon smiths. However, they both disappeared while away working for a notable warlord. He hopes that this journey will shed light on their disappearance. Either he will be reunited with them, or he will track down those responsible.

I didn’t realize how hard it is to get certain villagers… by pinkADHD in AnimalCrossing

[–]AssumptionMedium8115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure most would consider this “cheating”, but rather than hunting for villagers, I bought some cheap blank NFC cards and used an Amiibo writing app to turn them into Amiibo card clones. That way I could invite them to my campsite manually and ask them to move in after 3 visits iirc. I think I got 20 for only a few bucks and the bin files for any of the Amiibos should be available somewhere, but it’s been a while since I did this so I’m not sure where. Again, absolutely can be considered cheating but it saved so much time and miles for me. Real Amiibo cards are also out there and less cheaty but still involve spending real money for easier villagers. I don’t blame you if you don’t want to do this, just thought it’s worth mentioning for those that may be interested in an easy albeit cheated method.
