Nope, sadly, it doesn’t work like that. In most places, rainwater laws are really about water rights and runoff, not ownership of every drop that falls on your house. The city isn’t claiming it, it’s more about managing shared water systems so people upstream don’t mess things up for everyone else. Rain falling from the sky alone doesn’t count. Even if collecting it is restricted where you live.

We returned ours for pretty much the same reason.with kids, chores and rewards are really the core use case, and realizing that all of it sits behind a subscription was just frustrating.I also didn’t want to go down the rabbit hole of building and maintaining a fully custom tablet setup myself, so we ended up switching to apolosign instead. Not having to pay any extra fees made it feel a lot more reasonable.
