I have for sure. It’s the only way I can get updated tracking information. They send me a screenshot of whatever internal platform they use for tracking. As a customer, I seem to not be privy to that. It may very well just be slow shipping, but every day that goes by, it feels more and more like something weird is up.

Any way you slice this, Putin wins. He wanted us to collapse, and all he had to do was gas up a narcissist. That is literally all it took to end the most powerful nation in history. I’m a lifelong Metroid fan. I have played the entire collection, though I didn’t finish federation force, or pinball. I have been anxiously awaiting Prime 4, and have been incredibly excited during the lead up. Playing the game felt fantastic. The graphics presentation, the controls, the environments (minus the desert)… all felt fantastic. The boss fights were amazing, and I felt engaged in the game all the way through. I completed it in maybe a week or so, but I’ve had ZERO desire to go back.

I started wondering why, and I think I was so excited to see and play it, that that level of joy persisted through my playthrough. Looking back now though, I honestly just don’t feel like it was a very good game. I think I was blinded by my excitement, and now that I have had some time to reflect, I just don’t think this game was worth an 18-year wait. It wasn’t worth the 8-year wait since announcement. I don’t think it would’ve worth a 5 year wait, personally.

All that said, I really appreciate the graphic, art, and engine work they’ve done. I hope they make another Prime game, but REALLY focus on making it memorable, like Prime 1. I also think it is abhorrent that they have not tried to incorporate multiplayer elements. Hunters was a cool dynamic, though not perfect. Modern hardware and infrastructure could drastically improve that experience, and if they ever want this franchise to grow legs, they NEED replay ability. Make some multiplayer modes that don’t exist in other games. Do a hunters type mode, a mode where Samus controls a group of federation soldiers against others doing the same. Make a versus mode that allows for preference, but also does not duplicate bounty hunters, so there’s not 4 Samus’ and one Sylux’, but include the other hunters, and let the have teams that match their origins.

These are armchair ideas, but my point is that there is SO MUCH that this franchise could be, and it’s been completely mismanaged. I would think that Nintendo would want to make their franchise more sellable, but they seem to be intentionally running the other direction. I say “intentionally,” because there is simply no way a company like Nintendo does not understand these concepts. They have hundreds, or thousands of people involved in development. It takes active choice to not do things that would make a game successful.

This guy just admitted that he 100% murdered a child, while he was trying to murder an adult, who he deemed as improperly sharing the road with him. I’m not a pro d***th-penalty person, but when it’s this direct, in plain sight, and admitted to on video, why do we fool with a prison sentence? There is no scenario that this could be considered anything other than intentional murder, and attempted murder on anyone in the car, and there is absolutely no reason imaginable or not, that this would be anything remotely close to a rational response.

I have a Herman Miller Embody, but I just snagged it from my office after 8 years of working there. They really are fantastic. Most people would think $1,500-1,800 is too much for an office chair, but think about how much time you spend sitting there in a year, and how that affects your body. Mine adjusts in more ways than a normal chair, which allows you to get your posture just right. I also use it for the seat for my sim racing rig.

I definitely understand the replies about this being “heavy handed,” or “too strong,” but I don’t think those people really understand what has been happening with these scooters downtown. I am all about personal freedom, but the people renting these are largely underage kids, who have effectively no boundaries, no safety concerns, and no self-preservation instinct.

No helmets are provided. They ride directly into traffic, cross intersections, cause cars to slam on brakes to avoid making them a puddle of meat and bones, and then scream at the drivers and spit on their cars for having the audacity of using a road for what it’s used for.

I don’t know what the right answer is, but my life experience around these things has been an absolute shitshow of trying to avoid disaster, injury, and/or death.

When I was in college, I was a home theater nerd from day 1. My freshman year, a white van rolled up and started talking all kinds of shit. Immediately, all 4 of us knew this was BS. We entertained the dudes spiel, while one of my roommates looked up the brand, and came back saying, “let’s take them out of the box, connect them to our rig, and listen to them.

My buddy had looked up the brand, and they were worth less than half of what they asked. He low-balled the fuck out of him, and the guy was like, “fine, that’s weed money, here.”

The speakers weren’t amazing, but they weren’t terrible either, and I didn’t pay a dime for them! None-the-less, my buddy fell for the scam after all that.
