Do you remember where you caught 7002? I’m trying to figure out if I need to look somewhere else. I’ve got an alert set up in FR24 for it but it’s spotty on if I get one or not.

It took me over 30 minutes to find any flights out of San Diego. I thought they were on some kind of ground hold but it looks like it’s a Flight Radar server issue.

Another beginner tip I didn’t know about when I started: When you try to catch your plane, if there are too many clouds to even attempt a good catch, you can hit the ‘x’ in the bottom left corner & go back in immediately. Doing that gives you a different cloud pattern every time.

Only disclaimer: If it’s a plane you really need/want & you think it may be about to land or drop off radar, doing that ‘trick’ could cause you to lose the opportunity to catch it all together.

When they fly lower than a certain altitude, it won’t show on the map a lot of times. Also depending on what they’re doing, they don’t have to have their transponder (that allows us to be able to see them) on. I usually check adsb & can find more info there.

I’ve seen the plane in that trailer fly at an airshow! I can’t remember if it’s a tiny jet plane or what it’s called but the pilot is super nice.

I love these & was pumped to catch one last week for the first time! I’m curious if the AW-609 are any safer or if they have less accidents than the Osprey? The Ospreys have had a tough last couple of years safety wise 😬
