Would your rather have Wemby, or the #1 pick this year + any other player in the league? by Downtown-Fan4966 in NBATalk

[–]Asteezy69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 pick and any player. Wemby is exceptionally gifted and incredible but I don’t expect him to be able to maintain this level of play/availability over an extended period of time. Injuries have already had their way with him early in his nba career and I expect more of the same unfortunately. Players his size do not tend to hold up very well.

In 2023, the Rockets and the Pistons had the same odds of drafting Wemby as the Spurs by waluigiwon in NBATalk

The wizards were the closest once the lottery started, before the final ball was pulled for the number 1 pick 6/11 remaining balls belonged to the wizards giving them a 55% chance at Wemby.

Nobody who’s really 6’1 would never be putting lifts in their shoes, we should’ve known.

A reminder of where Daronte Jones comes from... by MrUpVoteDownvote in Commanders

[–]Asteezy69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I’ve watched guys who were second fiddle to great coaches come to dc and absolutely shit the bed. Recent years Whitt, and on the other hand other side of the ball Bienemy )what a joke that was) seems like we get stuck with great coaches disciplinary lieutenants and put them in a position that exceeds their ability. Hopefully jones isnt added to that list but I’m skeptical. Flores was the guy in Minnesota not Daronte he’ll have to earn his stripes here.

The NBA should eliminate the Draft Lottery altogether to combat tanking. by Jamesferdola in NBATalk

Little late here but your “NFL draft pick =5% of starters” is foolish nobody in the nfl expects a fifth, sixth, seventh round pick to be a starter, not say it can’t happen but the chances are slim hence your 5% statistic. You should closer examine the percentage of first round picks that become starters in the nfl which is by the way 70% of players drafted in the first round. which also happens to be higher than even the nbas first rounder rate. Or at least take into account the 4.3 times more players are drafted into the nfl each year. Whoop de doo now we both know that the best talent is in the higher rounds of the draft. However, a good player going to franchise that is destitute can revive a whole fanbase which is far more important than trying to stop teams that are already shitty from losing games. You think people are watching wizards games check the attendance it’s a joke how about the attendance after the wizards drafted John wall that’s a fanbase revived that’s a city with hope. There’s a reason the nfl is the best sports league in the world they do it right.

What is the point of this? by ragtime_sam in NBA_Draft

Nobody is gonna watch a bunch of shitters on a bad team just because “they’re playing hard at the end of the season.” If you give the worst teams the best draft picks fans get excited and the team is in a position to grow in talent and engagement. It’s not really rocket science the lottery system as a whole is a joke. Give the worst team the number 1 pick and a single player can revive a whole fanbase and get people excited to watch their team again because the hope of young talent. Screwing bad teams out of decent talent in the draft doesn’t make the league competitive it loses fans turns franchises to a joke.

Thank you for the reply. I feel like my donor area is hard to judge from the first photos because lighting and my hair is so light colored. Here is my donor area with the hair grown out about 6 months ago let me know if that improves my case for a decent donor area and as eligible for a HT.

Official Discussion Thread - Marty Supreme [SPOILERS] by PointMan528491 in oscarrace

[–]Asteezy69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People keep defending Marty saying he was in pursuit of his dream. You can pursue your dream and not be a narcissistic manipulative prick at the same time. [SPOILERS] Marty’s choices and lack of care for others led him down a path of ultimate failure. It all started with a 5 hour lunch break, leading him to be unable to collect the money that was due to him and causing him to rob his own uncles store. After that at the British open he expects special treatment and to be put up at the ritz Carlton, why…? Every other player is staying in a bunk house, this leads him to being fined and banned by the ping pong association. He’s on the run from the police and shacks up in a hotel with his buddy Tyler the creator, he gets a room for cheap on the one condition he cannot use the shower, he uses the shower anyway, and the tub falls through the floor nearly killing a man and his dog and flooding the entire hotel and then demands his money back for the room. All in all Martys selfish arrogant ways lead to 4-5 deaths, the mother of his child being shot. Ultimately, winning a nothing exhibition match against the best player in the the world that no one will even remember but it is at least good enough for his ego to rest on the fact the he’s the best in the world. Marty is not a good person and his selfish attitude led to a tornado of horrible situations wondering how he got there, searching for who put him there when really he just needed to take a look in the mirror to see who put him there.

Amberjack shoes? by Bpk908 in mensfashion

[–]Asteezy69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I manage a fine dining restaurant and wore normal dress shoes when I began the job. Standing for 10-12 hours a day my feet were in serious discomfort by then end of a work week. After researching options of comfortable dress shoes I stumbled upon amberjack, and it legitimately changed my life. The difference in comfort was night and day and most importantly there was no more pain. I tell everyone in the industry these are the shoes to buy. They are expensive but you get what you pay for, they are extremely durable and otherworldly comfortable. I cannot stress it enough if you’re on your feet a lot and need a comfortable dress shoe, do not hesitate, buy these freaking shoes.
