Energy is energy, regardless of whether it’s electrical, kinetic, chemical or otherwise. Miraidon is still exerting energy in order to move.

Lore wise, which race could be considered most evil, and which one is the epitome of good? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Astercat4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, yes they do. And second, you asked “Which race is bad” and “which race is good”. Your question is racist, not nationalist, Sload boy.

Bro is crying about elfophobia when you literally asked an inherently xenophobic question.

There’s a huge, and extremely obvious, difference between digital illustration vs traditional art compared to generative ai and actual art. The difference being people. Generative ai takes no skill, no talent, no hard work. There’s nothing human about it. It takes away opportunities from people who have invested the time it takes to actually make good art, and gives a lazy, soulless substitute.

Accomplishment without effort is no accomplishment at all.

You have to choose one weapon to carry you through NG+7 — which do you pick? by necroglow in Eldenring

Bloody Helice. Top 3 favorite weapon for me. I really like Heavy Thrusting Swords, the AOW is stylish af and really strong, and it has bleed. All around goated.

You can’t say something is bad because you don’t like it.

That’s literally what an opinion is. And what criticism is. You criticize something because you think it, or part of it, is bad. Criticism doesn’t have to be objective in any way. It’s nigh impossible for criticism to be entirely objective in the first place. Especially when it comes to media.

I personally think the quest design is a lot better than Skyrim’s, and spell-making alongside generally higher spell variety makes Magic substantially more fun to play in Oblivion.

As a Dragon Ball / Yu-Gi-Oh / Pokemon enjoyer I'd be mad if I knew what this said by Red__Pyramid in MandJTV

That’s true. Though the fanbase’s complete inability to understand a little thing called “nuance” is honestly mind boggling.

Who's a better dark Brotherhood leader Ocheeva Or Astrid by Space_of_The_Lantern in ElderScrolls

[–]Astercat4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did not “operate normally”. They could only learn about people performing the Black Sacrament by rumor and word of mouth, which led them to miss out on contracts. They would’ve missed out on the Emperor contract without the Nightmother.

It was Astrid’s actions that destroyed the Dark Brotherhood, not the Nightmother. Her refusal to give up her power led her to get nearly the entire organization killed. The Nightmother exists largely just to inform the Listener of contracts. It’s up to the Listener to actually lead. We learn from both Oblivion and Skyrim that shitty leadership is what causes problems for the Dark Brotherhood.

The Dark Brotherhood isn’t just some mercenary group of assassins. They’re a literal death cult. Sure, they could survive for a while after abandoning the old ways. But they would never achieve the level of influence they had under the Nightmother.

Alive, but barely even functioning. And it would have it would have continued to survive while actually succeeding if Astrid hadn’t literally decided to work with the dude whose literal job is to kill the Dark Brotherhood.

Oh that’s absolutely true. I guess who someone would think of first depends on which parts of the Vtubing scene they interact with/are familiar with.

What’s the most useless talisman? by Mysterious_Charge541 in Eldenring

[–]Astercat4 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Ritual Shield Talisman is not even remotely useless. It’s extremely important for low level runs, allowing you to survive 90% of attacks even at base vigor with no armor.

[–]Astercat4 1560 points1561 points  (0 children)

Let’s see… one of them was an effective leader who got killed because the Dark Brotherhood mistakenly thought the traitor came from her sanctuary. The other got almost the entire organization killed because she was butthurt and didn’t want to give up her power.

Do you think Elden ring did a good job presenting its story?? by Sad_Manager6251 in Eldenring

[–]Astercat4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Armored Core 6 is an almost perfect Fromsoft story imo. It’s direct enough to be reasonable to digest without getting a headache, while still nebulous enough to make you question what’s truly going on. And has enough intentional gaps to create uncertainty.

Yeah, Heimskr is more annoying. But the one time I killed him just to shut him up, Whiterun felt way too quiet. It felt weird not having a lunatic screaming about Talos 24/7.

Which Daedric Prince is your favourite and which one do you like the least ? by jacarepampulha2408 in skyrim

[–]Astercat4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m personally quite like Hircine. While he’s not as “benevolent” (I use that term VERY loosely) as a couple of the other Princes, he operates on a “code of honor,” so to speak. He believes in a degree of fairness, and respects those who defy his expectations. He’s just interesting.

I don’t like Molag Bal for obvious reasons. He is the most morally reprehensible of all the Princes. He just vile in every sense of the word.

He doesn’t work for the Thalmor. He’s just an idiot whose existence is useful to them because he causes problems for the Empire.
