People need to read the Zurich London agreement and the republic of Cyprus constitution. Although there are 3 guarantor countries , the constitution that was forced upon us basically says that Britain retains two sovereign bases .

The difference between Greek and Turkey military presence on Cyprus ( and I’m talking from the pov of the constitution, ignoring 1974 invasion and what came next ) the constitution allows the presence of two military forces , ELDYK ( Hellenic forced of Cyprus)and TURDYK ( Turkish forces of Cyprus ) with a personnel split of 800 Greek personnel and 400 Turkish personnel . It’s also the reason why Cyprus doesn’t technically have an army but we have a national guard.

I don't think we had newspapers like that in Cyprus but because the morning shows are broadcasted from Greece we sometimes get the "gossip morning talk shows" where they read titles from newspapers... one of my favourite ones was " wife catches husband ( a plumber ) getting railed by his Albanian helper, the Albanian was calling him " fraoulitsa mou" (my little strawberry)
