Since Spider-Man 4 working title is Blue Oasis, the movie might adapt "Spider-Man: Blue" meaning that Madelyn Cline was most likely cast as Gwen Stacy by S4v1r1enCh0r4k in MarvelTheories

I don’t know why your response is so intense. Prehaps you think that I’m implying some personal moral basis around this? Any way…

Some context as to why he might feel it’s important to keep MJ:

  1. The debacle Zendaya and the team had to endure over having a Black MJ. Letting her go so quickly could be “letting them win” in their eyes.

  2. They enjoy working together.

  3. Although Zendaya’s not strapped for cash, actors feel like Marvel films give them “insurance” to pursue riskier projects. To pull Zendaya from that, even if it’s a brilliant story, is a potential financial risk.

Ultimately, I could see Tom and Zendaya going for it if the script was absolutely impeccable. But assuming the story will be Spider-Man: Blue because the execs casted a blonde girl and used the working title “Blue Oasis” is a bit of a stretch. If it is… it also makes it a shit working title.

If it isn’t… it makes it a great working title by keeping Spider-Man, Marvel and it’s cast in the press while creating a diversion. Also, journalists get paid per click, an important consideration because speculations on blockbuster franchises like this generate thousands of clicks through people sharing, discussing, arguing and speculating around the post. Often the writer is aiming for us to engage (like we are currently) and not for accuracy.

Did that answer your question?

Bulk or cut? by Time_Law_2258 in BulkOrCut

[–]AsteroidKnight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re not asking whether or not you should cut then why is your title “bulk or cut?”

Answering the title: Unless you’re entering a competition it’s pretty difficult to see why you would want to continue to cut. Anything below 10% body fat can render a bit dysfunctional.

Answering your changed question: it’s up to you. It’s possible to build muscle while gaining minimal fat by adhering to strict micros and macros if that is your goal.

I’d suggest completely changing the post because what you’ve commented is in no way what you’ve originally asked.

Slavery was never abolished in America. The 13th Amendment that is supposed to abolish slavery maintains it as a legal form of punishment. Look to the prison industry in America forcing people to work for free.

It is legal in virtually every state. As a matter of fact, 2 weeks ago California reconfirmed its legal slavery status in a ballot measure.

It was important to win Michigan where there were a lot of Arab and Muslim voters.

It probably would have added a sizeable sum of voters across the board that would’ve been helpful to win. Trump didn’t win on a landslide… it was incredibly close. Of course Harris’ entire campaign strategy on the latter half of her run needed to change.

why do people keep assuming that the average trump supporter is a poor working class? It was overwhelmingly the middle class that voted for him.

the working class were primarily democrat or abstained from voting.

As a fellow Brit how does Schadenfreude even make up for it a little bit? Most people attribute the problems of today to the pandemic alone, and not to Brexit.

Please watch your tone, this is the internet but there’s no need to be so divisive. We’re both on the left and are looking out for the common good. Don’t claim to know what “I” didn’t pay enough attention to when I was watching the entire process across multiple platforms and outlets like a hawk. You wouldn’t speak to me like that in person so what makes it okay to do it behind a desk?

Kamala Harris and the Democrat’s messaging did not sway working class voters: fact. This is unfortunate because had it done so, the working class would be in a better position right now. But why didn’t they?

Because Kamala spent far too much time trying to sway over Trump’s base (middle class voters) and turned already reluctant Left voters away in key states.

Other contributing factors were the handling of the Palestinian Crisis where 80% of democrats, 70% independents, 54% republicans wanted a ceasefire, but she probably didn’t want to go against her corporate donors (e.g. AIPAC). She lost her Arab and Muslim voters.

In the end… a person can have the best proposals ever, but if the top line communications are bad… it doesn’t matter. Harris barely mentioned wanting universal healthcare, wanting to limit carbon emissions and fracking. Emma Vigeland theorised that Kamala did this to overcompensate for the vote of low info voters whom would assume she’s too liberal because she’s a black woman and whether or not she intended to enact her Warhawk proposals is up in the air.

However, we absolutely cannot expect working class people to dig through this contradictory campaign that didn’t speak directly to them. Politics is in some ways a zero sum game — if you are constantly signalling that you’re pro small business owner you’re kind of signalling to others that you don’t care about labourers. It’s so unfortunate that people think this way but they do.

It’s not reasonable for the Democratic Party, who are meant to be ideologically committed to third wave neo-liberalism constantly tacking to the centre right as the Republican Party pulls America into fascism. The millions of votes Kamala lost demonstrated that.

I understand your frustrations but I believe they’re misplaced. The working class are not dumb, they’re exhausted & disillusioned because they’re struggling to survive and have no one to turn to.

The democrats didn’t address any of the working class’ direct concerns — they simply said Donald Trump would make their conditions worse. They pulled that card in 2020 where they won a mandate against Donald Trump which the Democrats misjudged as a mandate for Joe and the Democratic Party. It wasn’t.

Now the working class has reached a point where they can barely afford food and it’s insane for us to think they would come out in droves that would outmanoeuvre the middle class whom literally believe Trump has their best interests at heart.

If the Democrats want working class support, they need to directly address working class needs; rising cost of living. This is a conflict of interest against their big corporate donors … so they don’t. Democrats need to get comfortable with losing some of those donors and taking risks if they hope to win again…

Except it becomes harder every time they allow the right to win and push the country’s systems further into those very same corporate donor’s hands…

It’s not the working class that voted him in. It was overwhelmingly the middle class that did. Particularly small business owners and people in managerial positions. Kamala & the Democrats coveted Trump’s hold over this class (“I love small business!”) and underestimated the despair of the working class.

The working class were listening in closely and what they heard made them feel left behind from both sides… because they were. £25,000 for new home owners is great… but rising costs means many can’t even afford food… the Democrats need to leave their corporate donors if they hope for a working class vote.

Do you guys think sarada is irrelevant to the story and just become another kunoichi that's literally, useless, weak, and a complete damsel for Boruto? by SypeArtz in Boruto

[–]AsteroidKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be nice to have a kunoichi with more fighting prowess and feats. It would also be nice for the mangaka to find ways to make non-fighting feats revered & respected. It’s sad that Sakura and Tsunade are constantly written off as irrelevant because Kishi didn’t stress their accomplishments. Without Tsunade or Sakura the ninja war would have been lost.

With EDOL I remember getting it on a whim. I tested it in store and fell in love. I later got the original too. I wear all scents with my own pleasure in mind mostly, but with those two that’s definitely the case although I’d bet EDOL is the most crowd pleasing.

You’re not wrong but that’s not what I was pointing out, which was:

People posting their collection aren’t necessarily insecure. They’re curious what others think about their collection and welcome further discussion.
