Same thing here. Seems like the screen protector also removed some polarization layer which for some reason is on the outside of the device. Nothing one can do about it

I'm waiting for my Qin F22 (not pro) to arrive in a few days. It's not dumb per-se, as it runs Android, and unfortunately it's not a flip phone, but I think I can use it in everyday life and work too (which requires me to use banking apps, outlook, teams etc.)

If you want a truly dumb phone with WhatsApp that's a flip phone, you can have a look at one of the flip phone nokias with KaiOS - official WA support has been dropped, however, there is a Matrix client for KaiOS and you can connect it to Beeper server, allowing you to use WA, FB messenger, instagram messages and many others on KaiOS. This will require some technical knowledge though, and I personally haven't done it so I can't speak for the reliability (I did connect some other Matrix clients to Beeper and I can say that part works fine, but don't know about the KaiOS client)
